Build V18 Missing Animations

These are manifested by units being invisible (but still having a shadow), displaying the wrong animation for the unit or not appearing to hold a weapon when they are using one. Report such instances here and we'll try to fix them up.

A good way to identify a hostile unit that is not displaying correctly is to kill it, then stand on the corpse and open the Soldier Inventory. Hold your mouse over the corpse of the dead unit until the tooltip appears, which will give the race and rank of the alien and you'll be able to see his equipment from the ground too.

I had a base defence mission and some of the caesans were only showing shadows until killed.

The graphic that appeared when they died was the helmeted officer graphic.

(Although I didn't get to a corpse in time to verify for sure if that was what unit the game thought it was)

This is sort of animation related...

I can't select two of my soldiers inside dropship at the very beginning of the crash site mission. This is probably because of two 'pallet stacks' that appear inside the dropship where they're standing. I've experienced this on two different missions. The map is the one with the railroad yard in the lower left quadrant and a blue van parked behind the dropship.

Xeno troops:

- jackal / rifle - missing "crouchsingleshoot_w" and "crouchburstshoot_nw" sprites

- jackal / none - missing "death_e" sprite

- basic / machinegun - missing "crouchburstshoot_nw" sprite

- basic / shotgun - missing "crouchsingleshoot_sw" sprite

- basic or jackal / crouch grenade throw (any) - seems to be using old mismatched sprites from "assets/units/xenonaut/none"

Farm tileset:

- red civilian farmer - has 1 wrong death animation (he looks like blue farmer)

Middle east tileset:

- AK47 friendly - has misnamed "idle_w" sprite

Industrial tileset:

- friendly with laser pistol - has misnamed "idle_w" sprite

- "Barrier_SE" tile - look normal but has wrong cover direction properties

Bonus xeno troops sprites (didn't knew these spritesets exist, thanks):

- basic / shotgun - missing "burstshoot_e", "crouchburstshoot_se", "crouchburstshoot_sw" sprites

- jackal / pistol - missing "crouchburstshoot_nw" sprite

Industrial map with train yard the full length of left side of map. Soldiers crossed street to left of dropship. Alien fire came from vicinity of crashed ship diagonally all the way across map...through building, solid fence and goods stacked in yard.

Soldier with sentinel armour + laser carbine are invisible, while those with a laser rifle are visible.

Edit : Look like all animation are broken for a soldier with sentinel + laser carbine.

Crouching buzzard armour with precision plasma facing NE played out basic armour death animation when killed (terror mission). Edit: north facing as well (crashed cruiser mission)

Next one is buzzard armour as well, when equipped with medikit, it changes to basic armour, facing all directions.

Harridan warrior shows up as caesan in red shirt with no weapons (desert map). He spinned around and did some running animations, all of them looking as a caesan. But the groans gave him away :)

Sentinel battlesuits uses jackal combat armour sprite to throw grenades.
