You should crowd-source your research tree techno babble. If there is one thing the interwebs is good for, it is semi-plausible BS.
Indeed. I write stuff like that all the time for my mods.

It has already been discussed on page one and a number of reasons against it has been brough up.

As per post #14 Chris has stated that he thinks it is better if he does it himself.

Over the past few days I've been working on the Research tree, writing research descriptions. This takes a LONG time; each one is 3-5 paragraphs of semi-plausible technobabble and it takes me up to two hours to get it right. There's a lot of them too, sadly. I think I've done about a third of them so far. I'll be working on this for the next few days too and hopefully can make good progress on it. It's one of the last missing things in the game.

Chris, I'm a professional literary editor and SF is one of my specialist areas. If you want some FREE editing and correction of any game strings (like those research descriptions), let me know. Keen to contribute.

How about just release the Xenopedia for test reads. It will spoil the game, but I willing to take that risk. Also, X-Com, to me, wasn't really played for the story. That's why it's a sim.

Just to back the other corner on that one, the X-Com story was what attracted me to the game in the first place, kept me really hooked throughout and probably plays a largish part in my interest in it since.

You gotta love the transparency of GH, you just don't get this kinda thing with the mainstream title, it's disgusting the way you are treated by say EA/DICE or 2K.

I'm loving how this game has come along. I have been watching someone's videos on youtube and it is great how far this game has come since I first caught wind of it.. Keep up the fine work lads. MWAH MWAH

We really have to praise the Xenonauts Dev Team for the LOTS OF UPDATES!!!! A great many Kickstarter games and games elsewhere suffer from NO UPDATES. What is going on???? What are the developments??? Lack of news makes people crazy. Goldhawk Interactive however makes sure there no lack of updates and the developers are answering on forums here, giving nice news, making the customer service of this development team EXEMPLARY!!!!!!

Thank You!

There's no question that the frequency of updates is one of the main reasons I follow this project. Being a huge fan of the original XCOM series helps a lot too though.

I know posting updates take time, and I know it's sometimes hard to find the time to post them. So, I really appreciate the fact that GH does such a good job.

Also, a +1 to the comments about KS. Lots of projects there start strong, then stop posting updates for a while. Never 100% certain what's going on, and as a supporter, I don't appreciate the silence. I DO understand that it may be tempting not to say anything, as there may not be any 'real' news, but even a brief one or two sentence note would be reassuring.

Still, I think KS has been an overwhelmingly positive thing for the Indi dev community, and hope that it continiues.

RE: UI

Am I the only one who is a bit confused with the name "Stores" for all the items you have in your base? Stores sounds like a place to buy something (shops) to me. Wouldn't "storage", "warehouse", "armory", "munitions" or "inventory" be better?

Why store can mean a shop, the world does mean more.

Store:

1. A place where merchandise is offered for sale; a shop.

2. A stock or supply reserved for future use: a squirrel's store of acorns.

3. stores Supplies, especially of food, clothing, or arms.

4. A place where commodities are kept; a warehouse or storehouse.

5. A great quantity or number; an abundance.

As you can see the word is more a word to say here is a collection of items, so having it used in its current context makes perfect sence.
