Just extract Xenounatus.exe and assets folder.Don't extract anything else (TD fix this please it confuses people)

).Rest of files which are outside assets folder are just "replicates" left by mistake.

Not exacly becasue some files in aircraft folder are not included in aircraft folder that is in assets i checked it yesterday and Dragon says he will fix the Core package but it seems he didnt.

Difrent story, vanila or mod bug? Cloned xenonauts- when 1 of the xenonauts entered tile when already one of the xenonauts was lying and feint there they somehow cloned i have 9 xenonauts on the map which 2 are dead 1 feint and 6 walking can upload save so show it but dont have save before its hapens.

Everything you need is inside assets.All files outside assets except Xenonauts.exe are "junk".

Ok i checked it today and he fixed the core package, there is just few .xml files that can be removed, yesterday it was more mess with that cause hotfix was included but in main dir not in assets.

What about xenonauts cloning did you heard about such a bug?

Open assets folder and look for layout.xml file.Open layout.xml file with any text editor and remove underline entry:

Answer to your question is :

I will give best answer I can.It's removed because of new weapons Warhawk,Warhawk II and Parango GH301 which have laser attach to them (kind of new "weapon" mod).So they have snap,normal and aimed shot (which is very precise and this was only way around we can do it without source code ).Also some rifles and snipers later in the game have very high accuracy and if they have aimed shot enabled,in most cases you would have 100% chance to hit target (unless it's under heavy cover but even then you would received higher aim bonus than you should otherwise).

Bug Report

After reloading a save in GC, 'eggs' disappear off the screen - They are still there, just can't see them!

Annoying but still playable... :(

& now the eggs move around the map!?? I've never noticed them moving before ! :confused:

Whataewer I report may be vanila bug not mod becasue i never folowed bug section.

When u have more soldiers than u can see on 1 screen u have to scroll them down, but when u use sort them by any of the atribiutes (TU,STR.etc)straight away u get 2-3 blank white lines on top of your solder names and when u scroll down and want to see last 2-3 soldiers u cant casue screen do not allow u scroll more. I wanted to do print screen of that but somehow I cant make prinscreen in xenonauts - I get print of my desktop not what i have on screen.

When you chose difren option reaserch lab, hangar whatever and go back to soldiers screen things go back to normal untill u sort them again.

Ok, melee aliens seems to do stupid things around my hunter vehicle. They simply run in circles trying to get cover or behind me... and do not attack. I don't know if it's bug or simply no abilities to attack armoured vehicles. Those purple eggs on the other hand shoot facehuggers on the Hunter and do decent damage.

Another thing is, that on most maps where the are melee aliens, if you stay put in your heli just waiting for them they ten to run under barrels of my soldiers and are gunned down by reaction fire.

The flaws make melee aliens simply trivial.

Sorry for not replying to your question earlier I can't do everything alone ..Theon is sick,TD is MIA today,Selgald I have no idea where is he or what he is doing.

Difference between normal and veteran beside faster alien progression is that aliens get slightly their stats boost.So for example if Ceasean had 45 TU in normal it will have around 60TU in veteran and that's all difference there it is.Oh yea and there is difference between amount of continents you can lose ( I think that in normal you can lose 5 and only 4 in veteran but i need to check that)

Let me clarify this ... it's vehicle made of steel what are they going to do ?Punch it with branch they found on field to death ?We wanted to give players some leverage and make vehicle to have better purpose than to be tin can as Scout is in vanilla.

I understand that some of the aliens are not stupid. So they should not play hide and seek with me. They should hide and go seek prey elsewhere. And if hunter is "vehicle made of steel" how can't "Alien" alien hurt it, and yet "Facehugger" alien can?

I still find Xenonauts with this XNT simply awesome. Superior to all tactical turn based based "shooters(?)" i know. I'm only saying that there are some bugs, that could possibly be eradicated. I spent almost 8 hours a day in last week or so playing this game, and found those gameplay flaws. I'm pointing this out not because i don't like your work, but because i do like it and i don't know if you are aware of the problem. I't not like i'm forcing you to do anything with it. Just stating that if there are some flaws in melee aliens AI.

We already know this, but many of the issues are pointed by the game engine per se...

We make the best effort we can to bring a diverse and tactical gameplay to the board.

About melee units there are some hidden things.

Your argument has a valid and other invalid point.

Maybe you test the first melee aliens, in other situation if you stay in charlie your already singing your sentence of dead.

With melee aliens is better stay in open LOS positions.

Abour armored thanks is aused by the engine, We already know this, but we prefer balance things in other way.

Yes maybe armored tanks are the best to counter melee aliens, but they bring other flaws to the board, they cost more upkeep than a 2 regular soldiers and they DONT GAIN EXPERIENCE.

As other players say (Radek) you reach some point when the armored car is LESS LESS LESS efficient in comparison to a Experienced soldier with Lasers and Coyote Armor.

As sentelin says Difficulty leve affect gameplay in many ways, UFOs are quicker, Aliens are powerfull, Damage is more dangerous, Alien invasion steps go faster!

I recommend you to play on normal to be "Use to" this mod.

Open gameconfig.XML with a text editor and scroll through it. The file is extremely well documented and easy to understand. If you scroll through, you can see all the difficulty setting modifiers. Veteran is anywhere from 10 to 25 percent more difficult in almost every category.

Is Hunter armored vehicle destroyed during GC mission should apear again in garage rdy to use? Not sure is it was repaired or no, just notice he is there nice and clean when i lost him during last mision and forgot to produce another one. So ws suprised it is there.

Anyone can chek my earlier post about wrong display of soldiers in barracks when u use sort by any atribiute option and have more soldiers then can appear on screen.

This is a vanilla bug, the vehicles are... in some way subjected to the "Survival" formula that is applied to soldiers

Is a way to say..... your vehicle is damage but can be repaired :D

GAMEPLAY TIPS

The alien have many secrets and one of them lay on his aircraft, you as commander of Xenonauts need to know some important features to survive the alien invasion, this small tip guide is intended to guide the player to this new mechanics:

- Capital Ships are very hard to shutdown with Conventional aircraft, specially if they are escorted, use multiple squadrons and avoid losing aircraft during the combat.

- When you manage to Shotdown a Corvette or GREATER UFOs and succesfully win the Ground combat you will recover a DATACORE.

- The first time that you Research "Dissembling UFO TYPE Protocol" this allow you engineering to Take the UFO data core and Hull to the HANGAR an start dissembling.

- is IMPORTANT that you know that the first time you manage to dissembling one UFO you will UNLOCK one technology for aircrafts but THE NEXT TIME you recover other Datacore GO DISSEMBLING IT!

- When you dissemble an UFO you will gain a Item in the store "RECOVERED UFO PARTS", you can sell this to recover LOT of money in proportion of the size of UFO that you Dissemble.

DISSEMBLING UFOS IS IMPORTANT!

Prepare your workshops!

Prepare your aircraft!

I dont like this cause it also increases aliens TU stat. And alien can perform more shoots at higher level of diff. I think at least fire ratio should stay at the same level when we increase dmg accurency and many many more stats.
