One of them is to go into the scripts folder and remove the words in quotes in the "hiddenmovement" script. These methods are described here on various threads. The other is to remove the hidden movement .png file. In both cases there is a large and a small, I removed the large one and it works. Happens every time I try to engage it right after victory result is calculated both with direct control of the engagement and auto resolve. I bet they've killed 25% of their own guys and equipment on the base mission I've been playing. But, they also seem to be able to see through walls, etc... to fire at my troops. At last I have laser and Wolf armor and for once I did not take any hits (latest beta 19.6). Then I finally get to the last room, and I can't open the darn door! OH nooooooo!...I tried reloading the saved game, but no luck. All the other doors work, but no this one. It is the door from what looks like an operating room, and there are aliens inside shooting. Xenomorph Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 The kings of bugs, the most infuriating and surprisingly still present is aliens seeing through and shooting (or trying to) through walls. Now with bigger and better garrisoned alien bases, and more aliens in UFO, it adds up to a lot of wasted time through alien turns, and reloading through injuries and/or casualties caused by this mess. There were 4 aliens in the room which was at the end of a corridor, and I lost a commander and 2 wounded to finish it off. xakthos Posted August 11, 2013 Share Posted August 11, 2013 Aliens shooting at my guys through solid walls (bases, sometimes ufos, buildings commonly) would be one of my top ones as well. Secondary is crashing while modifying roles. No pattern just messing with roles and gear in them enough almost always causes a crash in the experimental. maackey Posted August 16, 2013 Share Posted August 16, 2013 I wouldn't mind if they could just see through the walls (and floors!), but shooting through them is too much. I just lost a crashed landing ship mission because 3 elite Androns shot all my guys in the lower level through the floor, and the ones who survived to get up the teleporters got instantly reactionfired through the walls. Friendly fire is as much a part of X-com as aliens it's not a bug by far. Part of why the Firaxis (?not sure about the name?) fell so much appart of the OG. I'm also getting piteous results with shock grenades, are they working as intending currently? Vision not updating until movement, predominantly with scout car (haven't checked with other vehicles yet). Also: invisible aliens. Both typically during night missions. I have yet to see a Reaper attack anyone. They're really very friendly in fact. They'll come right up to my guys and then just hang around. Burst-firing heavy plasmas. (I know, it's not a bug, it's a feature) : P On one map, can't put a name to it, it had what I took to be a small school. Sent one guy through the lower door and he immediately got stuck on some chairs on the other side. I've seen aliens get stuck on terrain as well (An Andron in a hay bale. I laughed.
