  1. is there some sort of "mindshield" item/research w/e that lets you train/build items for soldiers to make alien mindcontrol or psionics "weaker" / make your soldiers more resilient to them.
  2. do flashbangs not work against androns and other supresion resistant enemies? Do stun grenades work on androns or are they just imune to everything of supression and stun damage and only take "real damage" I do not have the game yet becous i'm waiting for new laptop to arrive so i can play it And in the end aren't these moments supposed to be the most dangerous ones and the ones in wich you lose the biggest amount of men anyway? I'd use recruits to go in 1st or low ranking/expandable soldiers to "soak up" the reaction fire so that when the big boys come in they are somewhat safe

I find it kind of fitting we are fighting an unkown alien force that is much stronger then us so we have to trow every able bodied person at them bet i men or women be it 20 years old or 50 years old It kind of fits the humans "zerg rushing" the aliens and trieng to overwhelm them in whatever posible way so 40% female is ok it does not bother me at all
  4. nucelear dead zones... sounds amazing but too much time and effort to implement now meaning how i see the nuclear deadzone is as a whole nex tileset of wasteland in wich the ufo crashed and random area's of some sort of smoke to represent the radioactive hazzards and the smoke area's deal dmg per turn unless you have the power armor quick batle is already in the game no?
  5. the civilians with guns are reeplaced with local military forces the only ones that get close to a civilian with a weapon are the police officers verry early on and some farmers armed with shotungs and the artic researchers
  6. i dont get why you want the locker i mean you have a team of soldiers each one has a pretty big inventory not the right tool for the right job you say i say make a balanced team you have one tank with misles at the start of the game there my need for miseles should be coverd if i think its not enough i take one soldier with bazooka, one sniper 2 assault one shotgun etc. also ammo is not realy a problem if one soldier runs out and another soldier has one extra magazine in his invetory just toss the mag to him i realy doubt all of your soldiers will run out of ammo in reality strike teams have their loadout and not an entire armory on their heli those helis can carry alot indeed but those are supply choppers who drop of the ammo at the base and the soldiers on the field dont have an armory with them and if all else fails just make one soldier carry a pistol and fill his inventory with ammo and grenades he will be close to your troops most of the time unless he got killed but then you go to his corpse and just loot the ammor from there
  7. i found that more of anoyance (sorry i cant spell that word ) then fun and you can manage all the non balistic weapons, hell even misiles for on your aircraft made with alien powercells so those can be transfered from base to base and i think you will have to upgrade to those kind of weapons pretty fast or you will have troubles taking down alien ships and aliens themselves so you just will have to watch that for 1 or 2 ingame months i think
  8. if you dont like the starting equipent they are put in a seperate tab if i remember so you can just ignore that tab and keep an eye to your laser plasma etc. tabs where the weapons you make are stored (these take place in storerooms while the balistic weapons don't) so you can ignore it
  9. well i dont mind in general but from what i recall the scout or what ever it was has 2 seperate sections one seems to be some sort of engine room and another one and you had to enter each one seperatly so will he change that too?
  10. i dont mind 2 part misions hell they give you a reason to carry that extra mag that up till this point has been usless most of the time (MOST) and if you can manage to keep the smaller ones that are in the alpha right now as a 1part mision and the huge ones as a 2 part mision then do it less work to do then to have to make 2 parts for every ship while you have some ships already as good as done
  11. well they soldiers gain extra stats meaning they get more ap (can shoot more or move farther) more strenght (more material in inv witout weighting them down) reflexes for beter reaction more accuracy etc. also (i'm not sure about this one) i read on one of the forums that higher ranking soldiers give morale boosts so in general veteran soldiers are well veterans stronger and more adapted then the rookies or soldiers who did their 10 day training

  13. will you be able to pre-purchase the game via steam and get the beta like that? i dont have credit card only bank card so i cant buy trough desura it seems :c

  15. i voted no, personaly i think autoresolve doesnt belong in the game even if it is optional i would never use it it's just like the other who voted no say it takes away precious development time wich could be used to polish up the game, remove bugs,glitches,...
  16. from what i have hear and read on the forums and building destroyed or dammaged will also be damaged or destroyed on the base screen now i wonder is it posible to re-equip your soldiers before the combat meaning that for exampel in my default chinook setup i have one guy with a bazooka but since this will be a base defense and i want to avoid damage too my building can i re-equip him to a rifle before the fighting starts:confused: i know base defense isn't implemented yet but this is just something i'm thinking about with the only reason i dont want that bazook cuz if i use it most likely with the x-com acuaracy style i'll blow out half of my hangar's walls instead of the alien have a fine day
  17. didnt chris say something about all guns having a melee atack later on? then you just hit the window with the rifle and there no ammo wasted and an open window of course i guess this will still triger reactionfire
  18. do the wolf armor and laser weapon magicly disapear or is it just returned to the stocks? if they a returned to the stocks its not that big of a deal hell it may even be beter i mean his armor and such return to stock aand you can equip a new soldier with these so you dont lose them
  19. so a kit will probably look like this then i select the jackal combat armor give him an assault rifle with 1 extra mag and 1 frag grenade i klick save kit and name it "assault kit" i go to the next soldier go into the kit menu and select the "assault kit"
  20. aren't you supposed to get 2 flares on each nighttime mision by default the ones in your stores that you can sel on the other hand are a glitch/bug i think
  21. well let's just see how it all comes together before we jump to conclusions no? if this implemented in the next build we can see how it all turns out maybe its not so bad after all and in the case it gets bad then you can complain but for now lets just see and wait no?
  22. from what i get from posts on the forums budgets is realy tight as it is so i guess you realy need to place as few bases as posible but the base you put need to caver as much as posible so i think this will be what i will try to do putt my start base at the europe-soviet border (pretty low so i cover a decent chunk of africa as well) my 2nd base would be on the litle area that conects N-americ with S- america you cover maybe alot of sea but i think that is the best place to cover both sides and the last base should be place around asia covering australia sorry long ^post and this probely isnt the best of strategies but this is how i will try it out if i get the game
  23. one thing i wonder tough is will some of your equipent in this case then the laser rifels since the normal tier1 are in endless supply drop on the floor in base defense like in the orginal x-com or will be all the weapons you dont have quiped be hiden away in some sort of inacesible vault (basicly meaning that it wont be there in the base defense)
  24. he is talking about the civi's i think the civi's AI is designed so that they run away from both the xenonauts and the aliens i can't tell you muich more since i dont have any demo/alpha or beta or w/e
