Chris Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 OK, this is a quick hotfix before I dash off that I'm uploading right now. There's an issue on some of the Chinook maps where you can't disembark the vehicles from the front entrance as there are invisible spacer tiles in the way. I've cleared them out and included the new maps in the hotfix. Also I've updated the version number on the launcher as it still said V14.11 before. I won't have time to put this on the standalone, I'm afraid - it won't upload before I have to catch my flight. I'll stick it in my dropbox anyway so perhaps there'll be a way I can upload it to Desura in an internet cafe or something in a few days. Quote
Chris Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Yeah I should be able to upload the standalones using my smartphone at the airport. But anyway, if you've just downloaded the V15 standalone, this probably isn't worth redownloading the whole thing to get. You might just have to abort a few missions. Quote
Max_Caine Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Ah... the miracles of technology. You can't get away, not for a minute! Incidently, what smartphone do you have? Quote
Belmakor Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Chris I beat you to Thailand by 24 hours! Looking forward to downloading this on this hotels crummy 1MB internet connection. =) Quote
The New Romance Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Install worked like a charm... this time, at least. Quote
Skar Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 did this work? e launcher says 14.1 and the V15.1.zip file had a folder called V15 . slightly confused Quote
toasteur Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 same here, just downloaded from the desura client, and still says 14.1 of 03 september. Quote
Dowly Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 If you don't have any issues moving stuff out the back of the Chinook, it worked. Quote
PRiME Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Game crashes on combat mission loading (before screen). Here's hoping v16 works better Quote
LKx Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) for the records, standalone for premium is still v15, with the exit bug, downloaded a couple of hours ago. It's just that you can't get your vehicle out though, not a big deal. Did five missions and still no crashes (However i've got a variation of the same map everytime). The desura's standalone page says 15.1 for standard preorder though, but i can't download it to check if it's the true 15.1 PS: Desura's client update still says v15 of 20 september, i don't know if that's the 15.1 instead. Edited September 22, 2012 by LKx Quote
ShadowFox Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Not sure if this is the right topic or not, but I have noticed that the PC standard preorder is V15.1 and the premium preorder for the pc is V15, and the mac reorders (Both of them) are v14. Quote
Buzzles Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Just to point out for the people wondering why their launcher is showing the wrong version or their ferret can't exit the Chinook, V15.1 hasn't fully hit Desura yet by the looks of things. Seems as if the Standalone has updated, but not the normal game. As Chris uploaded late on a Friday (GMT), the Desura chaps would have gone home (they're based in Australia), so I wouldn't expect Desura to be properly up to date until late Monday (GMT) or Tuesday. Scrimpton Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Saved games don't seem to work on load either. Only just pre-ordered so perhaps it's an existing bug, google has pretty limited info either way though. Quote
Vivoune Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Yup, personally my launcher still says version 14.1 3 September. I didn't get to test the Chinook bug though as my game doesn't seem to want to autosave at all, not on events, not even on exit. I haven't tried playing anything else than Iron man though. Thanks for the update anyways. Edited September 22, 2012 by Vivoune Synthax Quote
Wintermist Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Desura's download speed really annoys me, I'm trying to download the manual file, since the Desura version simply doesn't work. And the speed is just ridiculous, it sais 2 hours... and I'm on a 100mbit line here. Quote
ShadowFox Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I think that is because the internet speeds in Australia is now up to America yet. And I live in Australia myself. Quote

Giovanni Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 (edited) For those who (by desura's fault or other) can't download this v15.1, here's how to upgrade from v15. Edited September 23, 2012 by Giovanni Quote

Tssha Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I've got the most up to date version on Desura. 15.1 in the launcher. It's the auto-update, NOT the manual download. Check your Desura game list folks, and update as necessary. Quote
Buzzles Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Yeap, confirming Desura have caught up and are now offering V15.1 for our pleasure. Quote
