  1. X2 have to be 1.000 % better than it´s predecessor. And it looks like now it will be the same like it´s predecossor with some little improvements. ATM it dosen´t make a difference if you play the predecessor or the new version downgrade to the old stile. And this is not a good development. There are the promised improvements needed which get founded on kickstarter. That´s the Minimum we need to get an improvement to the old game. If the downgrade-Development goes onward, Kickstarter will stopp that because they monitor the Development too. And personaly I see that comming.
  2. I don´t know it anymore. But it´s the same system atm like in the original Xenonauts.
  3. Trashman, I don´t say 1 super-special base. The Mainbase have to be special with all Workshops (Production for Parts of every Description, Weapons, Armors etc.) Laboratorys (Research of Everything), Coordination (Everything from Missions, UFO-Interception, etc.) and so on. All others Bases are Cannonfodder, because they are Front-Bases. There are the Main-Interceptors, Hangars, Technical Personal, Radars / Scanners, Soldiers. Upgrades on Interceptors and the Buildup from in-house development-Interceptors / Troopships will be fully completed here from the produced parts of the Mainbase Workshops. What I mean is, that the Frontbases don´t have Workshops and Laboratorys. What the Airfight / Intercepton belongs we will see then. It should come out with the new Version (V.9). I have only raise concerns that X2 will be only a small Modernised Version from X1 with the Things come in again without changes. Best Example is the Base-Buildup Concept without the Change as Main-Base (Atlas-Base) and Cannonfooder-Bases with Buildup-Limitations (no Labs, Worshops).
  4. Balance isn´t given in the get Engeneer / Scientists or Money Mission. The Game crashes at the final 2 Hour Countdown with an CTD and without Info. It was balanced up to the last 6.x Version. After the 6.x Version that Bug came again in Version 7 and is still there in Version 8 follwowing.
  5. Dagar, yes we know that the Airfight isn´t easy to manage. But it has to be one that can be handeld. And the old one can´t be handeld or you have broken fingers. That´s why an other system has to be implemented or that system has to be changed. I like the X-Com Fighter-System or that one from UFO: ET. There you have to watch for your Pilots / Planes and say what Weapons they have to use as well as what Attack-Mode they have to fly. Then they can use the old one system. But not a Arcarde-Shooter-Thing. That´s one Point why the Predecessor isn´t played again from me and some others.
  6. The Question from cardbpardMike is entiteld. And the Answer is yes to many things. Some are Good, others are Bad. The good ones with upgrades bring a better gameplay and / or eayser Base Managing. To bring in the older Base layout as a interim solution is ok too, until something better get found. But be warned, the Basebuildup-Screen looks exactly like in X1. The Main Bad thing atm is that the Main-Base isn´t a special Base anymore. That did UFO: Extraterestials much better. That the Devs are thinking to bring in the old Airfight again (the one which you break your fingers), it´s an absoulutely no Go. Only acceptable, if it´s done as a strategic / tactical Gameplay and not as Arcarde-Shooter.
  7. Since Test-Version 7.x and 8 the Game makes CTD´s without an Error, wherever you are. It dosen´t matter what you do (equip Soldiers, Research, Build something or only waiting on the Map with the Timerunner). Is the stability broken for bringing in new Features faster than normal? My wish for Version 9 is to stabilize the Game like in the Test-Versions 1 to 6 before. It´s impractical to test the Game with this CTD´s comming without warnings and Errorlogs. Personaly im not very pleased about the old Things which comming back from X1 (esp. the old Bases ), but some other modernised / upgraded Features from X1 are good. Like the better Managment for the Crew / Soldiers. Esp. the automatic fillup for Sicentists / Workers and the lighter Soldierrework / Soldiertraining were a very good Idea. That I could test out since the unstability CTD´s were comming. We will see in Version 9 what have been done to the Aircombat and some other Parts of the Game (like Research-Texts etc.) Hopfully the first Graphic Changes to the Bases-Screens to 3D like the good old ATLAS-Base will come next. With that Base-Graphics-Buildupscreen you get Eye Cancer.
  8. V8 Beta will come, but delayed. So we have to be patient. It´s better to have a stabilized Beta than a CTD-Beta about the new / changed Features. And the news here about stability Fixes etc. are good, that´s what the Betas need with the reset to some old features without changes to X1 (like Basebuild ).
  9. Sorry Max_Caine. I don´t wanted to blame you or the others. But I´m still angry about the Base-Downgrade to old Standard, which leads the Storyline down. It has exactly happend what the Backers said, which looked and financed a new and Full Game Concept. Now it dosen´t matter anymore if you play X1 or X2 now, because it will be the same Procedure like in X1 again (esp. in that Case). About the Dropship / Workshop Management you don´t need so much changes. An Andvance for the other Baseuses are only needed. A big Change or Downgrade (like the Downgrades from the Bases to X1-Standard) isn´t nessecary. The system now is nice and something new.
  10. I like it as it is now. Downgrade-Changes like for the Bases (which aren´t limited for Secondary Bases) to X1-Standard since Test-Version 7 were the Result of our last Q & A. For what then we need a discussion about this, if the Result is Clear already?!
  11. Such things aren´t implemented yet. That´s why you don´t hear about such things. The only big thing which acid regugitation me is the bases can do everything, which destroys the fully game. We will see it in the next Beta but if that what gives acid regugitation like in X1 comes realy back, then it makes no difference anymore if you play the old or new game.
  12. Sorry, it´s double. What I wanna say is that the Beta has to prove itself again from 0 on. You can´t use older saves to continue.
  13. We have to wait ooey. Chris said already that the Game isn´t stable yet. The new Version have to be tested first from the Beta-Testers. I think it needs 2 more Betas before going Early Access. And not everyone will be hapy with the new Version (about some things which destroy the good Gamestory from X2). And a good Betatest for the existing Versions are very very long. If everything goes good (which won´t like the Tests before), because new things are implemented, some get reworked [in good and others in bad] as well as much more is done, then a next update can be made. Therfore not. In this case don´t expect to much from the Early Access Release before End Spring 2020.

  15. Yep Flashbangs are only for Desorientation. Like in Reality they don´t stun anyone, only disorient with Sound, Flashlight etc.
  16. Defenitly X-Devision. Some of that improvements are already in the Beta (like Magnetic Weapon-Upgrades), but the improvements for the Vests are still missing.
  17. The Game have good graphics. Look at the Screens and Vids on the Webpage. The same with the Graphics you could say for Xenonauts or Xenonauts 2. It´s not the Graphic what the Game make a Game. There are other things, which are more importent, because the best PC / Console or whatever dosen´t work with the highest Graphics (I know that, because I belong such a PC) if the Game dosen´t have the following Points: a) A good Storyline which tells the full Game (like Xenonauts, Xenonauts 2, UFO ET, UFO2ET, X-Com-Series, Wing Commander-Series, KotoR 1 / 2, Doom and many others) from the beginning to the End b) If it´s a Game without a Storyline you need a fully open World-World Concept (like GTA, World of Warcraf and such) / a historian Concept (like Hearts of Iron 4) as well as many DLC´s c) most games have a mix of them, where you have a good Storyline and Open World Components / histoian Concepts, which you can pause the Storyline and make many Sidequests (like Battletech and the still in Development Squardron 42) d) good Sound (Speech, Explosions etc.) and Music which belongs to the Game (Hearts of Iron 4, Doom, World of Warcraft) e) the Game have to be Modable if possible (like Hearts of Iron 4, Motorsport Manger, XCom 2) with it´s good Soundpacks, Musikpacks, Gameimprovements which means the Modders help the Devs and reverse f) good playability with Mouse, Joystick, Keyboard etc. g) 90% or more Bugfree in the Points above mentiond You see Graphics get needed, but are on second or third position. We all have seen many Games which gets the best Graphics but weren´t playable. Such Games get called: "Shopkeeper", because they are nice to have but not played about unplayability. And it dosen´t matter how much small, medium and big Patches the "Shopkeepers" get, they are still unplayable. Such Games I have too at Home, but Good thanks only on CD´s / DVD-Versions.
  18. In the final Game it would make sense to have automaticly Cards for the Biome you fight (Landingsites for UFO´s, shot down UFO´s, etc.). For the Beta-Tests they are enough atm to test the Groundfights and such. But for the Early Access and for the Final Game more Cards from the Bioms should be there. Every Groundfight should be a Challange for your Troops.

  21. TrashMan that´s not only in UFO AI. UFO Extraterestials from 2007 and it´s Gold-Version had the Same. Before you could get UFO-Technology you had to dissasemble the UFO´s first. But there it is a normal Research Project. After that you can Research the internals like UFO-Structures (Walls, Engines, Weapons etc.) and Electronics (Computers, Wires, Pipes, etc.). I find your Ideas good. That would bring in more cool Geoscape Stuff what the Game need. There are similar Geoscape Missions already build in (Kill Infiltrator, Recrut Scientists / Workers or get Money instead, etc.). Why not, we could test that researches in the last Beta or an early Early Acces Status. Belongs on the Devs how they could bring that in. Btw. We could get an other Rival too, because UFO2ET isn´t dead yet. Only one Version of the Game (Chaos Concept worked on 2) is canceld. The Game is called now only UFO2Extraterestials: Battle for Mercury! Release should be this year too, if the Information on the Website is correct.
  22. Yep, there are Pink Areas in Version 6.x. Had that on a Scout UFO-Site last time.
  23. They are only 5 Persons and worked on 2 Versions of the Game. But with only 5 People that´s impossible. The normal Version from UFO2Extraterestials: Battle for Mercury is a much better Version from UFO Extraterestials playing on Earth. There will be new Graphics, an optimised Playstile, Special Weapons, Help from the Police and Armyforces etc. All that things, which couldn´t implemented in the 2007 Game UFO Extraterestials and the Gold-Version. The second Version with more implementations called UFO2Extraterestials: Shadows over Earth is announced to be completly Canceld. For what Reasons we don´t know. There should be come im more implementations for the Soldiers, more Army- and Navyforces etc. My personal Thinking is, that implementations were to much and overfilled the oversight for the Player. If the Release-Date from Battle for Mercury-Version (UFO2ET) is correct it will come in the same Stage as Xenonauts 2 Early-Access in Fall or Winter 2019.
  24. Yep such Weapons have to come in too. One Game gets such Weapons in too, called UFO Extraterestials. If I remember me correctly the Explosives could penetrate the UFO Hulls too, esp. the Big ones from Alien-Tech. And if UFO2ET is coming out (have seen that Fall 2019 is on the Webpage from Chaos Concept as the latest Release-Date after 13 Years of Development), more such Weapons will come out like Grenade Launchers and such.
  25. You can do that, but then the interresting Part of the Game goes away. The Player should choose the Research-Projects. When he / she will Autopsy the Aliens to get Stun-Weapons or better Ammo, etc.? Or resarch an UFO first to get better Parts for Fighters and Soldier-Armors, etc.? Or first better Human Technology to upgrade your existing Technology first? Like in old X-Com / new XCom and all other Clones from that like UFO Extraterstials we have played, we ever could choose the Resarch-Path. The most interresting thing is a Research-Combination (like in X-Com Terror from the Deep) where you had to choose the correct Reserach Way to get better Technology. If you choose wrong, you had to play from beginning on or an Save which is untuched. But for what we have I-Net today. 1994 / 1995 where TftD was comming out you had to use the Try & Error-Way. But you could ever choose the Research manually.
