I noticed the exe isn't set to be large address aware, meaning it's still limited to 2gb of memory. Any chance this is causing the problem?

Was thinking that Like all military outfits, the Xenonauts would have some kind of song they'd sing. I was wondering what you guys think it would be. I had an idea in my head of doing a modified "Blood on the Risers" lyrics, changing it from being about a paradrop to a terror mission of course. Anyone have any thoughts on the subject?

I tend to just give nicknames on units that reach Sargeant or stand out for various reasons.. Gives the important guys some more personality, especially since the names are always based either on their Actual name, or on a defining moment for them (IE Dipshit McGee in X-Com, who managed to kill 4 guys with a badly aimed cannon shot, and for the next 10 missions untill his death managed to accidentially kill at least one rookie each outing.)

Id say that wouldn't work because of the Cold War theme, since E Pluribus Unum is printed on American money, and I don't think the Soviets would appriciate that being on their joint task force's ledger. Cold war was kinda unreasonable like that. Just my two cents

Aww I was hoping this guy was recmomending a simultanious turn based mode like in Combat Mission or Frozen Synapse. Now THAT would be interesting, although they'd need a new engine for that I'd wager.

Was looking at the thread on the best way to do building collapses and though, Why not have some damage done to the surrounding area during terror missions (or the xenonauts equivalant). Basically what I'm thinking is before you arrive, the aliens have been doing their thing, and battling local forces, because of this, it would make sense to, uppon arriving, find walls blow out, partial building collapses, etc. After all it's a warzone long before the Chinook ever graces the skies.

Any chance for some ethnicity tag to be done for modders? I'm sure some modder could jurry rig up something to do some automated pallet swapping on the skin tones. Not sure of course, all my experience is in ASCII projects, so forgive my ignorance if It comes across as a stupid idea. -

Hey all, found out about Xenonauts on bay12, and figured I'd try it out. Went with premium because I felt like supporting this, since as a DF player I'm no stranger to giving a bit extra to support the game makers. Anyway I like what I see for the most part, and look forward to V8.
