  1. How's this coming along? It's been a while since we've had word.
  2. Yeah, at the moment you can only put them in in the order you want them. Hopefully the new UI (coming in v20) will allow an easier way to do that.
  3. You do realize that the game is being developed on Windows, and therefore nothing can be changed on the Mac builds until Stable versions of the Windows build are released, right? The developers have been working tirelessly on Experimental builds all this time, trying to make a stable v19 build that they can send to their porter and have released for OS X. If you want to play the game, make a wineskin, download the windows version, and install it into the wineskin. It works fine in a new, "vanilla" wineskin. Simple as that. Implying that the devs aren't working on anything isn't going to help anything.
  4. ... Fine. Super end-game spoiler right here: yeah, really heavy spoils here. Read Operation: End Game in the Xenopedia for a much better description.
  5. So, there's often a problem where players aren't "lucky" enough to get a certain UFO for months at a time due to the random number generator gods not being favorable. Basically, progressing through research is very hit and miss. So, we already have measures in place to give the player a Sebillian light scout and a Caesan light scout so they can get the alien biology research up, why not have other grounded UFOs scripted to pop up too? Don't make them pop up so early in the "timeline" as to make the research predictable, just make them show up late enough that they don't seem too "babying" but early enough that you don't get too far behind. We could make it an easy-only, or easy and normal only mode, maybe. Anyway, thoughts?

    Ummm...

Ha, I left them a message on facebook asking them why they hacked this site. I mean, it's not like it's pro-isreali or anti-palestine or anything actually relevant to them. I'll see what they said (besides "f*** you, f*** the site, f*** israel, blah blah blah).
  7. "Local forces have reported a landed UFO" would be better. In fact, wouldn't it be brilliant to have pre-programmed UFO landings (with local force reports of them) to ensure that research stays on schedule? I mean, isn't one of the issues of the game in its current incarnation the fact that tech acquisition is always so random?
  8. That looks beautiful. Cleanse the earth with fire.
  9. Emphasis on the fusion. Nuclear fusion.
  10. Oh, no. Not this again. EDIT: I thought this had cooled, but it looks like it's been reheated. (There, happy? )
  11. No, don't be that way. If someone wants to get offended when no offense was intended then they are a fool and it's their problem, not yours. Don't feel limited by other people's silly offense-taking.
  12. I like the idea of a continental Chinook and unlimited ranged Shrike and Valkyrie. Terror missions would be difficult, though. I mean, what if they show up outside of our range? We'd need a fix for that. Ideas?
  13. The Linux and Mac builds are available from the Humble Store. If you bought the game on Steam then you need to email Chris; he's there to help make sure you get what you paid for.
  14. No, I didn't mean fixing the shooting over cover thing. I meant the "cover reducing accuracy of the weapon instead of simply blocking the normally well-aimed bullets" thing.
  15. It really should be fixed. If there's cover in the way, make the bullet hit the cover. I hope that the devs will be able to implement a better system. Maybe in v20; that'd be awesome.
  16. The "jimmyjohn" person just copied something I said word for word (minus the "Hi" at the start) from another thread. Pay it no heed.
  17. This jimmyjohn person has posted three times, one time copying one of my posts, and the other two times talking about burst firing in threads not even relating to burst firing. I'm not sure what to make of it. Anyway.....
  18. Yeah, the issue needs a fix. I'd like being able to shoot over things (and therefore soldiers) a tile away. I'd be able to simulate a firing squad to execute aliens. This way I'd be able to have a crouching guy, a crouching/standing guy, and a standing guy in a row facing an alien. I'd fire with the crouched first guy, fire with the second guy over first's head and have second crouch, and fire with the third guy over first and second's heads. [a] [C] [a] [c] [a] [c][c] = standing Xenonaut [c] = crouching Xenonaut [a] = alien
  19. I will be honest, there is a heck of a lot of stuff going on with the sentinel armor images. I dunno if that's a bad thing, necessarily, though it may seem a tad out of place considering the rest of the game's artwork. Still, it looks awesome, and I'll use it.
