  1. Thank you Gentlemen for your responses, I do understand that we are in development stage, and that load time will be longer, in reference to Chris's information. Thank you once again. Look forward to what is next.
  2. I am not curtain if this is because we are still in development, but the load times for this game, are I think just a little too long, and that could put a lot of player off. Could I ask other contributors to these pages, what they think is a reasonable time, to wait for a screen to load, and continue with the game???

Combat Stress, should not just accumulate, just by going on a mission, it should have certain events to trigger it, as it is now you need a large number of troops, to cycle through each mission, so as to have troops available, which means that your troops don't develop their stats as fast and the cost of recruiting more, and building more living space, make the meagre resources that you are given hard to manage, this could be OK on a harder level, but not on BASIC.
  4. The way the battle harness is displayed on the screen for each soldier, is not in line with the equipment, that one needs to carry, there should be a holster for your side arm, and a scabbard for the battle knife or bayonet. Also there is not provision for water bottles, or other battle related equipment, it would be nice if the screen layout was more inline with the style of battle harness that a soldier actually uses. Just a thought, what are the other members considerations!!!
  5. The drawing are very fine, But they are supposed to be Military units, so you can be a little lax in the field, you would have to follow some military code on base.
  6. The problem you have with a stress system, is that that it is not the same for all, as some will not be as affected as others, some how you will need to temper it with another factor??
  7. This screen is not from 15.4b, it surely must be from X1 and not the current version, as the uniform and page lay out is not current??
  8. Yes that is all good if you are interested in air combat, I am not so I only do auto resolve, as I am only interested in the land combat, that is what brought me to this game in the first place.
  9. I was unable to produce a weapon system that could take down the Battleships, so the games seems to have come to an end!!
  10. I have been playing 15.3, and I was able to build Plasma weapons, don't know if they work, as I was not able to shoot down any Battleships, to try them out?
  11. I have played this scenario, on version 15.3 and had the same problem, as I tried to ascend the lift and it didn't work, so I moved on, but it did work on other lifts in this Alien Base, just not this one?
  12. The Guardian suite of armour, is not working as I think it should, as it might be good a scaring crows, but not defending the Earth.

This situation has happen before, in older versions, as if the game is loaded, and all the civilians, are near to the aliens, then they will be killed, and you lose the battle, before you start, this should not happen. The civilians should try and run toward your troops, and safety, and not into the jaws of death! The AI of the civilians, needs to be looked into, as the above situation can be very frustrating, Please have a look at this!!
  14. The real trouble with grenades is that you can't throw them far enough, too get out of the danger zone, so you need to get behind cover, or you could be a casualty of your own grenade! They are not a direct fire weapon, you use them like a short range mortar, very short ranged. up and over.
  15. I have noticed the same, the aliens are not interested in movement, and will fire at you only if you move in front of them.
  16. It may be the design of the new V.14 to have to build a new aircraft, but you were able to buy them in the past??
  17. This game start with such high ideals, but has not got any were near them, in it present form. Waiting to see what the next update will bring, we live in hope???

Any one who has served in the Military, will know that it is about your buddies that you serve with, so having stats and info on your team, and the connection that that brings, it adds another dimension to the game. The game becomes much more immersive, and each loss and win adds to the Esprit de Corps of the unit. The would more rounded!!
  19. It would seam to me that, the civilians are placed to close to the aliens, and they are not able to get too safety within in your fire umbrella, so they are all killed and you lose the game, even if none of your troops are lost, that in itself is a design fault, if not a bug.
  20. I had entered the Alien Base in Iceland and had killed a number of Androns and Reapers, but they just keep on coming, to a point were the hole corridor was filled with reapers, and I had wiped them out over 8 rimes, and they just still keep coming and filled the corridor again. I had run out of ammo, so I left the game, must be a bug??
  21. Good sound design will tap into that emotional side of the brain, to create that sense of foreboding, and keep you on the edge.
