  1. Thanks for the Update as well as the announced new Version V.16. Hope that it comes on Christmas-Time again (like V.15 on my Birthdaytime). If it works like announced it would be the best Present for us all on Christmas, , esp. with the hard Christmas Time this year. Then I wait for the new Version, before testing again.
  2. If you go to such a Number with the Mousecursor then the Region get framed (f. e. Europe, South America) and shows exactly like Chris explained. The Ground-Idea for the Panic Level on the Geoscape is perfect. It shows all relevant Informations and work like it should (UFO Attacks, Terror Mission lose / win etc.). But I agree with Geno that for the Early Access Launch it should be updated (be it in Colours for the 6 founding Regions or whatever). That we have to test in the next Major builds, because the first look from the Players which buy the EA / Final Version is cruical.
  3. That´s strange Chris. But if it´s fixed in the next Major Build it sounds very good. Tested the Buildup with Hangars, Workshops, Radar and other Buildings and they worked perfect in my Games so far. So I thought that´s a wrong Data after the Upgrade.
  4. I can build everything. Then you have an wrong Data or an not fully Upgrade to 15.4-Version. Let it repair from Steam first. If Steam can´t do it, deinstall and delete the full game (Savegames etc.), then install it completley new.
  5. Nope, Grenades dosen´t ignore Covers. Either the covers are there or not. Belongs on the Soldier / Civilian which throw the Grenade (Mobility, Strengh etc.).
  6. Begunn Testing the new Version. I´m at the Beginning, but I must say, the Map Loading is like I remember from the older Beta-Versions before (incl. Beta 13). Yep there are mor tooltips, but the Tooltip in the Air-Fighting-Screen have to be reworked. Haven´t a picture there now, but some new Tooltips have to be reworked for readability (Air Fighting Map f. e.).
  7. The MARS is a Vehicle, not a Human. It has no Personality, but can be upgraded and get better in the datas / values earlyer or later. Yep for the better Soldier-Armor-Equpment and other Upgrades you have to play and Research everything you get, esp. the Alien-Things as well as the Things you can do from them.
  8. You get Gadgets / Upgrades for your Soldiers, Vehicles etc. in the Game, which have to be produced after Research. Most of them you get through research like the Jetpack and other Soldier-Armor-Upgrades, which can be used then after Production. As well as special Undersuits for your Soldiers. But not grapling Hooks, Deployable Shields, deployable Turrets etc. Therfore you have an upgradeable Vehicle called MARS and later ARES. Some of them are implemented in the last Beta-Builds for Testing and Ballancing.
  9. That´s not a Bug it´s a Feature. They have a better Immune-System etc. and can stand up again. Then you have to stun it again, best with the Batton at the beginning. Esp. with the Reptilian Aliens (Sebillians) that will happen often, because they can heal themselfs. With the Cesans and Reapers I haven´t seen that Phenomenom since we can test the Stun-Thing out.
  10. You mean the Panic Level, which is the Terror level. That is working great and reacts on UFO-Activitys, Terror Sites and much more. It has already a great surprise implemented. But if you test it, you know what I mean. The Base-Form we already have won´t be changed, but surely upgraded when more Surprises in the Game will get in.
  11. Hmm... That´s strange. Have you a Picture of that in the north? Will check that in a seperate Test with the new Version. The Devs will check it with the Save. From what I can see on that Picture, the Plane in the East haven´t reached the Save-Border. If that Message grow up, you are still in the Fighting Part. After you go in the yellowgreen line, the Plane will be save and no shots will hit you from the UFO. The same you get, if the UFO reaches the yellowgreenline.
  12. I wasn´t in that Technologypart with my Games, Laser and Eleriumrockets was atm the highest Weapon Tech I had before a new Version came out or the Game was unstable. But back to topic: Like Chris said, some R & D´s need more other researches before like in the original X-Com-Series or similar Games. That´s good and very usefull. The Thing which Disturbes is that Researches are 3 times in a Row (like upgradeable Standardweapons etc. without a Researchtime-Reduction-Bonus). And some R & D´s comes to fast. The Laser-Tech is one of them. After you researched the Alien Mag-Weapons to upgrade your own existing weapons, you can research the first Generation of Laser Weapons too. There you haven´t researched the Crystals as Battery yet.
  13. Yep, cool for that next Hotfix for Version 15. Then we can make an next Test for the Game this Weekend.
  14. The Training Center works very good. The Ideas with Training aren´t new, but with the limitation and upgrades it´s the best I have seen so far. Played many other Games of this Gerne and never seen such a Trainig Center System.
  15. Rusknight if you are a Game Developer why not helping the Devs in Programming etc. You are practitioneer and every helping Hand the Devs may get need. I´m not a Developer, but I can test the Versions in every Aspect as good as I can.
  16. Chris with that I mean that the Base Version is stable and playable in normal Difficultys and not in Ironman Modes. Yes all Games still have smaller Bugs left and get fixed with Patches. But the Devs upgrade the Game later with DLC´s and improving it with missing Features then the next years and get Patches for longer time. XCOM 2 get a very long derivative after the last DLC WotC. But big Companys or such which give up her Crowfounding way have then a time limit Problem, like Phoenix Point shows as a best example. The Devs here (the Gollop Brothers from orignal X-Com) try to save the Game with Patch-Marathons as well as 2 fast DLC´s since the Base Game comes out. A 3rd DLC is in the Making, because the first 2 dosen´t bring the hoped rescue success. Smaller Development Studios like Goldhawk have to bring out an very cool Game with the Base Game-Status. Therefore we all have to work hard with a limited Budget. For the final Stage of the Game (Early Access) I give Chris 100 % right to give the Public a Base-Version they never will forgett.
  17. Exactly that attitude is it, why we get only 40 to 50 % playable 08/15-Scrap on the Market, which get played 2 Days and then get in the Trash. Some exeptions are there like Battletech from HBS, the Games from Paradox, the new XCOM-Series / Civilatzion-Series from Firaxis, the Warcraft- and StarCraft-Series from Blizzard. Therefore we all are Beta-Testers before the Game comes to an Early Access and Ready Status for it. And to answer your Question: 1 Betatester can´t do that, then the WIP needs 1 or 2 Month for a Hotfix and Game-Development need over 10 Years. That´s the Answer, look at the Development from UFO2ET. Before Release they found over 1.000 Bugs and the Game won´t come out before 2021, if we get unhappy exactly to the Time the Early Access from Xenonauts 2 should come. So the only Answer can be: The more Testers play the same Version the more Bugs can be found and fixed faster. I only stoped playing if the Bugs are to heavy and the Game makes CTD´s in rotation.
  18. The more Testers we are in that Beta-Versions the better it is. Chris and his team are doing the correct way, to give us 60 % the unstable Betas and for the other 40 % of Testers the stable Builds for an second Check. So we can work out an playable, stable and interessting Early Access for the Public and can make the last adjustments for the final Version. That show a good preperation from the Devs, her Freelancers etc. and how good we Founders and Betatesters did our Job. Goldhawk could do it like all the others and give the a 08/15 Scrap on the Market. But we work on that Game and it belongs to all of us Beta-Testers that the Game get ready, interessting playable and with working Features no one has seen before in an Early Access. Rusknight: Such announcements like yours demoralize the Moral of the Devs and the other Beta-Testers which all give their best to make an Game that outperform all competitor products (the new XCOM-Series, UFO ET-Series, Phoenix Point etc.).
  19. Yep, there are some not funny Bugs left (like the invisible MARS or pink MARS), Researches like the Alien Magnetic Weapons comes tripple after new or more Parts get picked up and some more. For the next Versions (Christmas to February) we have much to to and my suggestens are: 1. get in Special Missions for testing (which are not in the Game yet) 2. get the small abonded Xenonaut Bases useable in the World and not buyable Ground (the costs are to high for only the Ground and the first buildings) 3. Special Teams which pick up UFOs etc. without an Combat Team (shoot down Bombers, Fighters etc.) 4. get old Buildings (like the first Radar, Living Room etc. changeable for another use or sellable after demolishing to get some Money) Such Things are cool stuff and would increase the Mananagement on Geoscape as well as the Bases themselfs.
  20. Yep Rusknight I have the same Issue. And both Issues aren´t new, we know them Already like you said after the MARS getting in. Why it´s getting that Bugs again (after 2 Betas without) it´s realy . The MARS is in it´s Standard-Variant (Steel Plates) invisable and only the Tracks you can see after it´s getting shooted. The first MARS Hovercraft-Variant I haven´t testet yet (Steel Armor-Variant) but I think it will be the same. Get the extra Armor on it yesterday evening (the 30 Armor-Bonus) in the Standard-Variant but couldn´t test it.
  21. @Comte Pseudonyme: 20 to 30 Hours for a full Game like that is to low. And Xenonauts 2 give exactly everything you say (Special Missions, Base Defences, Base Attacks, many Micromanagement for your Soldiers / Vehicles/ Bases as well as many more like R & D, Outposts etc.). Some Specials aren´t implemented yet, but will and have to be before the Early Access. And after they running you won´t know longer what to make first. The second thing is, that you need a full storyline in the Game (like in the old X-Com-Series, the UFO ET-Series, new XCOM-Series) first before you can think of an DLC. Look at the new Panzer Corps Game, then you see what I mean. The Devs there made it fully correctly as well as the Devs from Paradox which continually upgrade the Games. The Devs here from Goldhawk go an similar way and that from beginning on with the Beta. How good the Game will be in the Early Access State we see then. But it will be longer than 20 to 30 Hours of Playtime in the Base-Version. My playtime with the newest Betas are since we could test the Game (excluding the Hotfixes which didn´t run) is atm at 376 Hours. And I never played longer than to first Laser-Tech, upgraded Cevlar and other small upgrades for my People and the World-Wide Military, because then the next Version comes out. I read all Archive-Texts, the Info-Things with the Tooltip etc. to look for Bugs etc. there, because they are cruical for you and the Gouvernments.
  22. Thanks for the Info. I will look at it when I start a new Test too. The Pink things are defenatly a Bug. A similar one we had with the MARS already. Should for the Devs easy to fix for the next Hotfix. Test the other Game Cruical Things (shooting, moving, sound, getting Destroyed etc.) that the Graphics Bug don´t do a bigger one like CTD etc.
  23. Thanks for the next Hotfix. We will test it asap. I think 15.3 will come in the next Days (if it takes long at the beginning next week). And if my feeling is correct, then Beta 16 get a Christmas Present.
