Straker
Xenonauts v8.2 was the first version I've downloaded. What would I need to do to download v8.3, and future versions, from Desura when they come out?
RulerOfNothing
I believe there should be an option to download an update if any update for Xenonauts is available.
Pinetree
The Desura client will let you know when an update is available. Then you just click on the update symbol beside the name in the games window.

Chris
Most of the fixes have been made, but unfortunately as I'm out seeing the family in South Africa at the moment I don't have access to my standard development environment and can't compile builds myself - the coders have to do it for me. There's one due to be made this evening (hopefully) but if it doesn't materialise for whatever reason or there's a critical bug in it, the build might have to wait until Monday. We'll see, though. TNoyce
If it's meant to be, it will happen. Looking forward to taking it for a spin when it does..
Straker
Actually, the new version is coming so quickly now that I don't have time to fully put the previous version through a thorough test before the next one comes out. Not that I'm complaining.
Chris
It's OK, V8.3 will be released today as intended.
Patupi
For me I get no option to update until I attempt to play the game, then it asks me whether I wish to update. I can't find any other place to update it (certainly not in the options or right clicking on the game in the Desura menu)
Matt
I just tried to download the new version of Xenonauts. Four times. Each time I got a MCF download error in the last 90%. And then it deletes everything and I have to try again. Is this a Desura error, or is the game still being updated while I try to download the new version? Straker
Download worked for me. Had to do it from play as Patupi above.
Chris
Matt - it's a Desura error. The build on Desura can't be authorised until it's finished uploading so it's a problem at their end I'm afraid. Sorry about that, hope you get it fixed. See here for more information. In the meantime, if you want to sample the ground combat portion of the game, it can be accessed by starting the game in debug mode.
