I was wondering if I could get some help, if this is the right place to ask for it. I am using the latest patched version and my mod list is in order. I've already changed some things in the gameconfig.xml (the X-Division one) successfully, like soldier stat ranges and the like. The issue I am running into is with the buildings.xml and the aircrafts.xml. With buildings, any value I change is not reflected in game (trying to change build costs or Living Quarters capacity for example). Is there another file I need to alter for these changes to work? With the aircrafts.xml, it seems like any value I change (e.g. plane hp or loot for shooting down UFOs) in there causes the game to crash when I try to build my first base upon starting a new game. Again, I am wondering if there is a correct way to alter these values or if perhaps I am altering the wrong file. I am using Libre Office calc to make the changes if that makes a difference and yes, the files I am changing are the ones in the X-Division mod folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hey doctor! The best way to mod something is mostly creating your own mod over all at modloader, but it could be tricky too.. so for building, as i know, if you edit the numbers "after" you build the building, it won't change. You need to make a new building and that building will have your updated stats. For aircraft, i can't say before i see what you try to do.. but changing HP should not break the game.. maybe you erase something wrongly.. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hm ... hm ... hm ... ... dont use libre. Libre doesnt output a file that the game can use. So if you are using libre you are simply deactivating the files or crashing your game. Use excel isntead. There are a lot of more tricks along the way ofcourse, how you can actually use libre for instance, but for now stick to a notepad++ program like sublime text. There has been an original file added for every replaced one in case you want to deinstall the mod. In case of doubt make a reinstall of the game or verify game integrity through steam. Before applying patches withdraw all scientists and engineers from their current projects. You can reapply them afterwards. You only need to download and install the latest Patch avaialble, it contains all prior fixes as well. The .31 to .32 patch shouldnt need a new campaign Installation: Extract the "assets" folder into the main game "Xenonauts" folder. Merge and overwrite. After applying patches follow step 5. and 7. from the main installation process again. The Manufacture UI is also fantastic, once you learn the tabs you can find what you are looking for much faster. Don't worry about them, they are created with "not able to shutdown easily at their own phase" idea, so you will have terror missions and base assaults regardless of your power. This design was beaten by someone else on the forum without even so much as getting a scratch. This is why the terror bs and similiar terror UFOs will see an substantial buff in the next patch, so enjoy the exploit while it is still there ( if you can find it ). 3. I know that the hp buff wont fix certain exploits yet. But the hp buff was just the first step. I m looking for a suitable solution for the next patch. About the lotus. The lotus is not meant to be unlocked that easily and it is not meant to be able to get mass produced. With cutting off the terror ship supplies by buffing them and making ex ships harder to take down i want to increase the difficulty of getting too many lotus. But you are right, even for the 3rd phase its a powerful aircraft. So im thinking about increasing the Ex Alien Controlsystem requirements for it, to counteract mass production of the lotus. The firebird ( phase 1 ), the lotus ( phase 2 ), and the cyclon ( phase 3 ) are all phase 4 aircraft, with the only thing capping them is the amount of ressources you need to manufacture them.
