  1. @Chris: That´s strange. I will make an Check of that save too on an complete fresh V.24.1-Version.
  2. I think, that the Devs orient on the Support-Vehicle, which get shown in the first new XCOM-Game and second XCOM-Game with the Terminator-Robots with more Upgrades from Firaxis. They are upgradeable too with more R & D. The Difference from the MARS and the other Support-Vehicles is that MARS combines both in one small Vehicle. It´s upgradeable later on (first is the Armor) to more advanced Vehicles. The Difference from the MARS we know from the Betas therefore are: 1. the extra Armor-Choise for more Protection (Standard-Iron) for the normal MARS-Vehicle is integrated already as Standard with the best whatever Points (like HP, Movement etc.)! In the Betas we tested out therefore, the Points changed. Either you had more Protection and lower Movement or had lower Protection and better Movement. That Refit of the Mars in that Part is perfect now until the better Upgrades will come! 2. the other Weapons (Nebulathrower, Cannon) which we could Choise are outsorced in R & D to make them better against the Aliens! There you can get an modified LMG with the Magnetic-Upgrade, later an Laser-Weapon and similar as Secondary! And you get the Upgrades for the Main-Weapon with the Alien-Energy and so on like the Interceptor Missles / Torpedos! Otherwise you can use normal Cannon-Tanks with an 3 to 5 Human Crew to fight the Aliens and get a big loss on Lives in the first Monthes. So much Money you don´t have to pay out the Wittnesses and Childs from them. 3. the special Slot for smaller Upgrades is not for nothing there too. We don´t know for what exactly, but if we play the new Version more and not only 2 or 3 Missions like atm., we will know what it have for Surprisses for us. The Devs have not for nothing changed the R & D-Tree and the Modular-Parts you have for the Mars, Fighters and Soldiers. The Game isn´t finished yet and we get sure 1 more Beta-Upgrade before the next Years Early Access will come out. Maybe that Modular-Thing get reduced for Stability- / Bugfix-Reasons. What the M of the Mars belongs: There I have to agree with Emely and Kamehamehayes. It is announced as Modular- and Upgradefriendly in several Dev Dirays, which we could test out since Beta 16. If that Features are linked with the R & D-Change everything is fine. I personaly will let surprise me in that.
  3. The Dropship Pilots don´t need an Chance. They are fully fine like they are now. They have already 3 important Jobs: 1. to bring the Soldiers to and from the Ground-Fighting Zone, looking that the Transport don´t get destroyed (Flee as fast as they can in Emergency) and stearing from the Cockpit the MARS or whatever Support Vehicle / Vehicles later on. But you are right in an other Part of that: Combat Pilots! They are the Pilots which have the hardest Job: 1. flying first underdog Combat-Fighters and save the Skys from UFOs ; 2. escort in Emergency the Troop Transport; 3. looking not to going down with the Fighter (Shoot Down, Out of Fuel, to much Damage or whatever); get alive and take as much experiance as they can to give the knowleade to new Rooky-Combat-Pilots; If they get shoot down or crashlanded about not enough Fuel, then such a Mission makes Sense. Your Troopers have to save the Combat Pilot (dosen´t matter Women or Men) and bring him home alive. Only then to create such an Mission makes Sense. Important is to order the Combat Pilots you have to better Fighter-Planes.
  4. Hmm.... that´s strange if the Soldiers look in the UFO. Minimum the Door-Opener should see something.
  5. That´s an Feautre, if the UFO-Doors / House Doors etc. are open or you made a Hull yourself with C4-Composite. You can´t make it better in the Games. Testet it too in V.24 like the others and had no Problem with that. An other pair of Shoe it would be, if you can throw an Grenade when you haven´t a line of sight (Closed Doors or an fully intact UFO / House etc. with no Wall-Breaking and no open Fields).
  6. Strange, we others could play fully normal on the Maps we had so far. What Map was it? Evtl. one of the last ones which is in WIP-Refit announced in the Dev Dirays?
  7. Hi Orcidea, thanks for the Interesst. I´m an Normal Kickstarter-Founder and Betatester too and know that the Game has many Gaps left, which have to be filled bevor an Let´s Play can be done. I hope Goldhawk and the Publisher will give their OK for an Let´s Play, when the Game is ready for it. That would give an very good presentation to the Public, like it get done for UFO 2 ET, UFO ET, new XCOM and similar. What the other Question belongs, I can´t answer that. The Game is still in Gap-Filling WIP until the Early Access Phase beginns with the last Finetunings. In an last Dev Diray the Devs announced that an Early Access Phase is planed for Spring 2023. But evtl. you get lucky and get an Beta-Access to get an first look.
  8. Thanks for the Info Chris. I have read that the Tech Tree get some improvements / changes in the Version-Information post. Now I understood about that. Sadly I could do only 2 Missions before the CTD came up with the Teleportation Chambers and freezed Civilians in the 3rd. But from what I have seen, the Game did an big Step forward. Keep up the good work. The 2 more Monthes in Programming, Graphics etc. for this Version-Upgrade were very usefull. Hope to see an similar big Version Upgrade for an last Beta-Version this Year, until the announced Early Access Part comes in 2023.
  9. Correct, I have the same Issue. Crashes directly after clicking on it to free the Civilian.
  10. From the Soldiers I have in Game, everyone have a Face. Maybe you have gotten some Soldiers in the Pool which have that Bug left. I suggest you write the Name of that Soldier in the Bug-Report that the Devs can Check it more easyly.
  11. It´s no Bug, it´s a Feature. You will get more Equipment later with R & D to upgrade it. I suggest you read the Text to all Xenopedia-Entrys. There it´s explained that the MARS have an LMG (Rifle) and the Rocket-Launcher with 6 Rockets.
  12. Thanks Chris and all others from the Dev-Team for the new Version. I have played already 2 different Missions (the Alien-Scout-Mission and 1 UFO-Mission). The new Mission Screen and Aeras are great. The same is for the new Xenopedia as well as the Main-Base in all Functions and new Pictures. More I haven´t seen yet. Some Parts the Game have already activated before the R & D could be done. The Ablative-Plating for the Fighters is an example of that directly at Game-Start. But that small things which are accidentally activaded (like Ablative-Plating) will be balanced and fixed again. I will play a little bit more with that Version and try to veryfy the Bugs the others have reported until now.
  13. That´s correct. I have the same Issue directly after Gamestart and build the Stun-Guns.
  14. I don’t like MP Games at all for 2 Reasons: 1. There are Features coming in which unbalance the the Game-Fun / the Storyline only to bring in a full MP from the Beginningsequence to the Endsequence. 2. You can’t trust the other Players (that Players who don´t respect the Aggrement like playing Historical or the Settet Rules), which means that MP-Games in Strategy-Games get canceld very often during the MP-Games in the at the End-Beginning-Stage / Middle-Stage. That are the Reasons why many intelligent older / medium and next Generation Players like the good old SP. Like here in Xenonauts 2, the Storyline from new XCOM, the new F1 Manager 2022 and so on. The only Games I have seen with very good Comrade-MP-Ability (belongs you are in a Guild, in a smaller Group with hard Rules or directly hard Rules from the Publisher / Developer) are the following 3: 1. Star Wars RPG 2. the good old WoW and the WoW Card Game where WMs get shown in TV since some Years. 3. the FIA Controlled Race Simulations (F1 Racing Series), which get the Sim-Race-WM in TV since some Years There could be some other Games too, which are very popular and get hard Rules in MP (like Counter Strike) in one of the 3 Rules I have announced and the 2 Reasons which don´t destroy the Fun from the normal Single-Player Gamers.
  15. @EurekaSeven Let us concentrate on the Game and it´s Features which we important People [Devs, Founders and in that Function Betatesters, Freelancers which help the Devs] do with heart for the Community to make an Game which overflow all others [old X-Com, old UFO-After-Row, new XCOM, Phoenix Point, Xenonauts 1 and in some Parts the UFO ET-Row] only in the Basic-Variant. We and I personaly get toxic, if such Elements (Troublemakers) have only to grumble on everything what the Game or the important people belongs. I have with such Elements a lot of patient. But not more when they kick under the Belt-Line, which they sadly did [Game-Features / important People]. And esp. are not interrested in an normal Explenation / Discussion. Similar Elements are doing that with F1 Manager 2022 and other important cool Games which are no 08/15-Scrap.
  16. Exactly Kamehamehayes. And such Alien-Projects, Orbital Bombardements, making Alien-Terraforming or whatever gives piquanzy in the Game. And that have to be hardcoded, like it is in the UFO ET-Row with the Mothership and his potential, in the UFO-After-Row / old X-COM the Specials or in Phoenix Point with the Nebula. People which can´t handle this can play Ponnyhof.
  17. That belongs on the Storyline the Game have. In the new XCOM-Row I give you right and in old X-COM after the 2nd Game. In UFO ET it´s completely Secret, in Xenonauts 1 too and in Xenonauts 2 we will see.
  18. We don´t play an Standard-Earth-Army Game, where such Things with Tactic-Groups and an TV-Team nearby are normal. You play an organisiation which are unknown to the Public. There you don´t have official help, YOU ARE ALONE WITH YOUR SOLDIERS on the Battlefield and on Geoscape with your ORGANISATION. Only your Enemys and highest official Sponsors know your Organisation. Like in old X-Com-Series, new XCOM-Series, UFO ET-Series and Phoenix Point. The others have no Clue that you and your Organisation exist.
  19. First Thanks for the new Info Chris. If the V 24 come in Oktober or November it´s fully OK for me. The Team should take the Time they need to make the Beta as best usesable and testable they can. The Early Access is set for February and there the Groundwork have to be as deeply done as possible in all Parts. @geno: Nope, that seems to be canceld. If that would be done, the Early Access would be overnext Year (2024). @Kamehamehayes: Therefore the People get an new Demo. I remember back to the old Times, where you could go after School to an Computer- / Game-Shop and there was an PC where you could play the Demos for X-Com or whatever. Then you decided after the full Product come out to buy or buy it not. But sadly the most of the Community on Steam are "Troublemakers", which kill for the nice as well as friendly Community the Game itself [Features etc.] or blaming the important People for Xenonauts 2 [Devs, Founders, Betatesters, Freelancers ect.]. So they have to pay for the Game. I personaly wouldn´t give them an Demo, that´s alone is already to much.

  22. Komandos, then you have not understood the Buildup from this Game. It´s give Humans as well as Aliens Strengh & Weaknesses. That belongs in Weapons [Range for both are excellent, while the Aliens have an big Advantage to Humans], Armor [Same like the Weapns], the Human Body and Eyes [that what you mean], the Alien-Species [all have Differences in Day / Nightfight] and much more. If you change that very good ballanced Parts again, then the Game won´t come out before 2040.
  23. Summarized is to say: Most of us like the new Features which can implemented since the 2010s. Others life in the Past with Features from the Stoneage and don´t let new Features in. For Xenonauts 2 it need new Features to overflow the Predecessor. And that is such an Feature as well as the Modular Armor / upgradeable Structurs etc. We already have some good old Features from the Predecessor here in the Game, which are Refited / Reworked to fit in Xenonauts 2.
