radiorob Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) I have updated via Desura without problems. Are any differences between Desura ver. and standalone ver. ( for PC)? Old saves (17.2) are not working in 17.6. Short report after testing 17.6: More stuff (xenopedia OK) but bugs, bugs. I can not even finish the first ground battle! gileq Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 I finished few battles, but after every one ground fight, when game return to world map, i have black screen instead of world map, with non functioning icons, and crash in few seconds. But autosave from this point works and i can play forward. Quote

ko2fan Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 What about a Mac version? When do we see one of these again? I have uploaded a Mac build of 17.6 for Chris to put on Desura. It works around a lot of the texture issues seen in OSX 10.8, so it is now playable, but you will still see a couple of issues. Older versions of OSX have no issues at all, and it runs well on my 10.5 and 10.6 installs. I am currently testing each 10.8.3 beta build from Apple hoping that the driver bug is fixed, but no luck so far. Quote

And thanks, ironically I just yesterday downloaded the Windows version and played it in Wine, but it started crashing when I tried reloading certain saves. It played well besides that, though. ko2fan Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Its the OpenGL driver. Looks like it caused issues with a couple of other 2D games, but doesn't seem to have caused widespread problems. Unfortunately I have no way of making any changes to the engine, or re-compiling against newer libs. I can write new rendering code to workaround it, but that takes time. Quote
