Tyro3
So does this unzip into the game files and if so is it the main data files?
skaianDestiny
So does this unzip into the game files and if so is it the main data files? ...No, it's just a diagram. It's not a mod. If it was it would be in the modding section.
MagnusF
So does this unzip into the game files and if so is it the main data files? No. They're just a reference/visual aid.
Ragnarok
Pretty impressive. I can see how it could be use for a new players.
ivra
Ok, to be clear: The zip-file contains a pdf-file with the 5 pages that are shown in the first post. You can use it to see what you need to do to get to a specific technology.
Max_Caine
Thanks ivra, that's an excellent and readable setup. It'll come in handy when I'm fiddling about with various research files.
Tyro3
I'm sorry ivra I guess I am just dense, but when I unzip the file I get xml files that look like they belong in the game, so I am obviously doing something wrong, I do not see an pdf file, forgive me for my ignorance I am just getting old. ivra
Strange. There should be a single pdf-file within the zip-file. It has the same name as the zip-file. Have you tried to save the zip-file on your computer and then unpacked it? If you have Vista or newer you should be able to unpack it using the Explorer. Just copy the pdf-file to another directory. TacticalDragon
Thank you for this techtree ^^ This could be awesome if the techtree proggression was in this kind of format instead of only xenopedia.
ivra
Glad some of you liked it. You're welcome I have also created a thread with lists of the items in the game.
Tyro3
ivra, what I am getting when I download the file is called attachment.php and I am unsure what to do with this. I tried opening it with Adobe and it said it was not a supported file or it was corrupt. Edited June 29, 2014 by Tyro3

Fucille
Are you sure mag weapons come from getting all the alien plasma weapons? Because I have all of those in my xenopedia and no MAG research available yet.
ivra
Yes. Both according to the source file researches.xml and I have experienced it. There was a bug some time ago that prevented MAG weapons from appearing in the lab as a research project. Are you sure you have the latest version and that you have researched all 5 weapons, for a grand total of 7 alien weapons?
