  1. Thanks to you both! Next question: Do you know where the alien damage dealt file is and what it's called? I don't poke around in files much unless I have to but I think to test the stuff I'm looking for this would be seriously helpful
  2. 1. I think that it's just a replacement sprite so that when you kill the little robot your game won't crash. I recall Chris said he needed to add the exploded robot sprite still. 2. This was also true in the last build but I thought Chris had fixed it. It has to do with the wrong tile type or something like that.
  3. Hey everyone - I need to know a couple quick things and this seemed like the best place to put them. Is there some sort of way to make your guys NOT die? Like some sort of invincibility code or a way to give them crazy health so they don't die? In order to facilitate testing the maps for walls you can move through it would be seriously helpful to be able to do either of those things. I just can't make the battle on the terror map, which is a big map, last long enough to explore the buildings on the far... well left side I'd guess it is. The houses across the park on the far side of the map from where you start. Secondly, and maybe I'm just awful at this, but I am struggling to end the terror mission with POSITIVE points. That's even if I lose only one unit. Civilian deaths + one alien escapes already subtracts on average for me thus far 8 points... and there's 9 aliens. So even best case I'm getting only 1 positive point here. If you lose the tank you are just boned because that's -5! Is this the final point balancing or not - anyone know?
  4. This is a spot for anyone to post images up for people walking through walls on the Terror Mission Map! I've found these so far. I believe that it is strongly possible that these same spots that need to be fixed in both houses of this design on the right hand side of the map so I have only included screenshots from the first instance I noticed instead of from both houses as they are exactly the same. The Store across from the gas station has only one area that I could find:

  12. Speaking of Kickstarter I know that many of us are involved in other forums and communities for various games around the internet. Most forums allow signatures that link to other sites so my question is... Could someone make some Xenonauts signature banners either with embedded links in them to the site here OR a special Xenonauts Kickstarter banner linking straight to the Kickstarter project? Then we could throw those on for a month on some of the other forums we all use and help get the word out that way too. What do you think? I don't have any art skills so it's beyond me to actually create sadly
  13. The Grim Dawn trailer did mention randomized instances but I don't know if it was in reference to monsters or maps, items or boss traits or just what exactly was being randomized. It looked pretty solid though from those pre-alpha videos but my question to myself is since I'm already playing D3 and PoE do I NEED a third game in that vein? I don't know that I do unless it's really, really good. I also think if I get all three the one I'll play least is PoE.
  14. I think it could be either but I am no where near to 100% being on that. I noticed a lot of the whole Honour/honor colour/color type spelling stuff myself but at least I knew it was just differentiations in possible spelling options rather than being wrong. There are some just plain typos though which I think we should try to make a list of (using screenshots if possible) before the press release demo and kickstarter begin just so it looks the very best it can look to new eyes.

  17. Well I hope that you (XenoMask) weren't taking me seriously haha!! I'm just thinking that's how I reconcile anything that seems off with aliens in any game. It's weird just 'cause they are aliens is the most obvious answer
  18. I can confirm this is still happening in v9.4 - because I just tested it and BAM -> crashed.
  19. Well of course we don't know of any that are like that (green and red) but these are aliens and therefore strange in a very real and art limitation freeing sense
  20. Yes Chris confirmed that this is caused by the invisible civilians on the terror map
  21. One base works and a LOT of people play the original Xcom with one "main" base and the others are just radar coverage and interceptors. Occasionally you'll find people who ran two "mains" on opposite sides of the globe to ensure faster response times to crash sites, landings and alien bases. I'm fine with either either system honestly but I would like to see an incentive to build more bases - and having things cost more the more you build at one location is a very arbitrary and artificial method to do that. If anything it should be CHEAPER the more you build at one location because you'd have already moved in the skilled labor and machinery needed to accomplish the additions the first time you added on.
