LaggyWolf
Share some of your stories regarding heroic soldiers who tragically died trying to hold back the alien tide or of some rookie who blundered so hard that got him/herself killed in silly fashion! A Poem for Chris England O' Chris of England twas a brave lad, Pistol in hand, C4 the other, a life he had. He ran and ran, a message he sent, Fire in the hole he said, and bang he went. (Charged enemy, planted C4, not enough TU to get away, took two Caesans with him) Chris England - KIA - Sept. 1. 1979. - "He went out with a bang" Edited June 25, 2013 by LaggyWolf

WalrusJones
Lord Dylan England, British elephant hunter who took his .280 british round lever action rifle (The first LAR serviced by the Xenonauts, actually) to battle Sebellian guards. Last survivor of charlie-1, never asked about what happened to alpha or bravo. Brave soldier to the very end.
Sathra
Hmm, I dunno. Maybe: Lieutenant Kei Tanaka, veteran of 40 missions lost her life during the furious firefight to take the Command centre of the Andron base located deep within the lost north american territories. She had been keeping the far door to the command centre open, using her quick feet, and locating the alien forces for the rest of the team to fire upon from the antechamber. She lost her life when she was only a few seconds too slow and took two shots from a new alien weapon in the back. The countercharge from the team in the response to her death took the last few aliens out and the base. Fluff aside, she was 3 squares short of the corner and took 2 battle rifle shots in the back. This was actually the base mission that I've got a screenshot of in the funny pictures thread.

Xenomorph
Brothers in arms, side by side Time to roll, Aliens can't hide Alien in sight, time to go bad! Pulls the trigger, maybe a sneeze, Maybe the wind, He shot the other dude in the head Overwhelmed by grief How could his aim have failed A ball of fire, from across the land Hits him in the face, and gets him nailed His murderous rifle dropped from his hand The others realized it was about to go sour "Pull back, pull back!!", all left to be had Civilians in panic, they run aimlessly Getting in the way, all over the fray Doing what they can to ruin the day So many injured, so many dead No where to go, no Mom and Dad A single survivor in such a mess Pulled the pin on the nade in his a** RIP CO. ward Edited June 25, 2013 by Xenomorph
Xenomorph
A rainy day, late December A spy detected an alien base Plans were made, guns prepared To take the battle to another phase Full of courage, adrenaline rush They entered the hole, so dark and cold All rehearsed, a set formation The leader orders "load and hold" "The deafening scream of silence, the blinding flash of darkness itself A rookie soldier drops his gun, and stupidly mumbles "WTF, it fell!" The beating hearts, the smell of fear, in a second of painful eternity Something roars, outside the door, the meaning of "Welcome to HELL!!!" Balls of death, screams of pain, through the walls, fiery rain No where to go, no place to hide, a hero screams "STEP ASIDE! He locks the rookie, straight in the eye, and yells cruelly "It's all on you!" His face distorted, his drooling mouth, the soldier smells of fu*** poo RIP Sargeant watchamacallit
