Tnuckvirp
Finished my first battle on an arctic map it took a while for the victory screen to pop up, when returning to the Geoscape the screen is black displaying only the bases, Chinook and the UI. If you would like the save file you'll have to tell me where to get it from I did have a browse through the files. I'll test the last save to see if it replicates first. Tnuckvirp
Tested, an auto save was created after battle so I can play beyond it. I did replay the battle to see what happened this time I got a runtime error, the screen turned white between shots and one of the Aliens was shooting from the UFO. Matthew
Can you please attach your save game? You attach it as a .zip file or upload it to a file sharing site then paste the link here. Thanks!

I don't quite know where the save files are located Had the exact same map for my second mission, both Aliens in the exact same start positions and exact same bug (near enough same crash site). Auto saved before crash. http://www.filedropper.com/saves No Encounter (01 sep 11:24) is mid ground battle when replaying this I got a runtime error however I did not replay it to see it it would happen again. Geoscape (01 sep 00:03) just before my first encounter, haven't played any maps other than arctic yet I replayed this save and encountered a ship over Africa so you may not encounter the same problem as I have only played two maps over northern Europe/western Russia. gileq
Same here, after everyone battle. Looks like geoscape not loading.
Megathron
I can confirm that. After every battle the game does crash. Sometimes with a runtime error. ------------------System Information------------------Time of this report: 2/12/2013, 23:27:58 Machine name: HOUY1 Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.120830-0333) Language: German (Regional Setting: German)System Manufacturer: System manufacturer System Model: System Product Name BIOS: BIOS Date: 07/08/11 17:10:00 Ver: 20.01 Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz Memory: 4096MB RAMAvailable OS Memory: 4088MB RAM Page File: 2687MB used, 5486MB available Windows Dir: C:\Windows DirectX Version: DirectX 11DX Setup Parameters: Not found User DPI Setting: Using System DPISystem DPI Setting: 96 DPI (100 percent) DWM DPI Scaling: Disabled DxDiag Version: 6.01.7601.17514 64bit Unicode------------DxDiag Notes------------ Display Tab 1: No problems found. Chris
Can you all tell us if you're using the standalone or the Desura auto-updater build please?
Megathron
I loaded the entire game again from Desura. I did no update.
Chris
I think the issue is with the archiving system we're using, as some testing suggests the standalone doesn't have this issue. I'll release a hotfix later today.
Megathron
Im loading the standalone atm. I will tell you when loaded if the same crashes still happens. As far as ive seen after the battle you see the text "geospace loading..." in the middle of the screen while your Chinook is already flying. And then it just looks like there are some texture or class or whatever not loading correctly causing the crash.
DaCruise
Same crash happens for me. Also use desura update.

Teemu
I'm having the same problem. Battle ends, soldier development screen etc are fine. When I load the geoscape, the things OP said load and after I click anything on the geoscape (base, research, etc buttons or the Chinook), the game freezes and crashes. I'm using Desura. This problem came right after the hotfix. Before I couldn't even play (I made a thread about the problem). Do you still need a savefile? I could attach it after I get back home.
