Glad I decided not to go all out fan boy on this game and waited, I thought something seemed off about it. I don't think the graphics need to be harped on about too much, it doesn't look fun to play and that's the fundamental problem.

Happens in Desura too, same map although I haven't had it explode on any other map so may be game over if your tank explodes, did not hang for me just watched it explode and quit.

I just now discovered that problem, using the Desura client.

I verified and it downloaded something... it didn't work for me. I'm re downloading it from scratch, may have a conflict seeing as I downloaded 17.52 as stand alone and linked it to Desura and then updated from there.

It would be awesome to have that in game as some sporadic Alien activity detecting a 50 year old crashed ship in the Arctic. Maybe as DLC after release including a new recruitable character (Ha ha)

I've been following it for a while now it looks like fun, not one of those games I throw my money at but might get it in a sale.

I don't quite know where the save files are located Had the exact same map for my second mission, both Aliens in the exact same start positions and exact same bug (near enough same crash site). Auto saved before crash. http://www.filedropper.com/saves No Encounter (01 sep 11:24) is mid ground battle when replaying this I got a runtime error however I did not replay it to see it it would happen again. Geoscape (01 sep 00:03) just before my first encounter, haven't played any maps other than arctic yet I replayed this save and encountered a ship over Africa so you may not encounter the same problem as I have only played two maps over northern Europe/western Russia.

Tested, an auto save was created after battle so I can play beyond it. I did replay the battle to see what happened this time I got a runtime error, the screen turned white between shots and one of the Aliens was shooting from the UFO.
