  1. Those were not dlc´s but expansions. They added extra civ´s and scenarios as dlc, which could -and should have been included in the expansions imo.
  2. I have completed the new EU on impossible ironman after ~400 tries with a few of the options in SW enabled such as random funding and soldier stats. For me it was a terrible grind without some randomness involved and I am not sure I would have kept on trying to beat the game without it. I must say I dont really understand the purpose of all your arguments. Why is it always OG vs NG? For me its entirely possible to enjoy both games though they are very different and obviously not flawless. Here is the thing: Complicated TBS games will NEVER be flawless. You have air battles, ground battles, rpg elements, item generation/balancing, simcity basemanagement and whatnot to worry about when you create a TBS like XCOM. Its basically many different game modes tied into a single game experience and thats also one of the reasons the NG is so different from the OG. Xenonauts will also be very different in its own way and guess what: It will also have flaws but it may still turnout as a great game.
  3. Sometimes I just dont understand your reasoning for not shooting at an alien or not clearing that freaking artifact site. You had almost every alien killed on that mission. Btw I am in a game myself and cant research sub construction. How do I "get around" that? Edit: Nvm. After researching transmission resolver, sub construction turned up. Dunno how but it did.
  4. Well that sucks. You may have to start all over or you can try to survive with the firearms you´ve currently got.
  5. How about skipping work to play fulltime, so we can all get the TFTD fix we so desperatly need.
  6. I know its still an alpha and not a beta but I was hoping the beta would come soon. Btw why shouldnt I worry about losing my progress? A crash in itself is bad enough but if it also resets everything then its completely game-breaking. Fortunatly that wasnt the case.
  7. What the OP describes happened to me 3 times in 4 missions. Good thing is that I didnt lose any progress as the game would load up from where the crash occured. Research is not the issue and this happens after several missions and not just the first. Anyway I fired up the game again cause I had the feeling a beta was imminent but after having played a little I am not so sure. After all a beta should contain a game in a playable state but crashing so much is not playable. I hope it gets fixed soon.
  8. same just happened to me. After having not played for about a year or so, I wanted to see how much progress had been made. Crashing so early does not bode well (not a flame or anything, just my oppinion).
  9. People should really read the whole interview as he says some interesting stuff.
  10. I first played it at a friends house back in '94. Then, by some miracle at my birthday the following year, I got TFTD as a present though I didnt even knew of its excistence. Played it on my parents pc, a good old 386.
  11. I watched your first episodes and my God you are horrible But its still fun to watch and I learn a few tricks here and there. However, if possible, I would like you to edit a little bit so we get to see the action but not all the tedious stuff of you going through all your soldiers to find a grenade and such.
