  1. Hello! I would like to know if the patch still works with new mods' updates (FiTH 2.1 and Lore+ for 1.9). I have a little problem with new FiTH (Hover on destructible parts appears to be red-crossed), don't know if that was because of game_config or what. I play vanilla 1.9.

  3. @ Tactical Dragon: -About TU and real time: A soldier have to aim than burst 3 shot, and shoot 2 to 4 bursts. I think it's reasonable if you think of that. -Thank you for explaining about stationary accuracy, I didn't notice. However, I still think 95% at max range with 72 ACC is tool high. -The art of Xenopedia is great, just that I'd like to see the similarity between articles. You know guys with OCD (kidding). However, I have to stress that the image of Cobra Maneuver is my least favorite.
  4. I tried to use flame thrower on hay stacks. Guess who wins? Hay stacks stand firm. Can we add destructive power to FT? Not only it's more realistic, but also adds tactical value to FT.
  5. Hi guys, GG45 here. I've just spent the last hours or so testing the mod, with several more inspecting 'assets' file. First of all, I've to say this is the richest content mod so far, you guys surely had spent a lot of time and efforts to it. Thank you for that. I do hope that XNT would be nurtured, and become the ultimate mod of the game. While the skeleton is good, I'd like to suggest some idea about polishing phase, it's the Consistency throughout the game, I want to give 2 points that I think it's important: +Research name: We have 'Alien Plasma Rifle', 'Alien Plasma Cannon',... but why "Research Alien Spine Thrower"? Similarly, "Advanced Ballistic" is good, the word "Tech" followed isn't necessary. +Xenopedia images. The big white "XNT - Into Darkness Mod" at the bottom of the pictures is what I don't like, because it's ruin the pedia's format somehow. Besides, there are misspelled words, for example Ad_adstra has the word "Cautious" and Cannons with "Finishing" at the first paragraph. Some other pictures are not very beautiful. However, I understand that you guys would need good artists for these images to be re-designed. Then, about UI and visual improvements: I think Jsleezy's Real Armors Mod is really good, but it's not fully integrated in XNT. It's quite an easy task, except that the new Coyote Armor uses Jsleezy's Jackal. What we should do is keep Original Jackal, use Jsleezy's Jackal for Coyote, and replace the other armors with Jsleezy's. Also, integrating Skitso's UI mod and Skitzo's AI Sleek would also be a nice thing to do. Another mod that I think which would be compatible is BuzuBuzu's Entries for upgraded Aircraft weapons. It is said to be included in Lore+ soon, so it would be best to wait and see if Lore+ be updated. Finally, I want to thank you again for a rich and amazing content mod. Bless this mod to be the most awesome and un-ignorable to all the players of Xenonauts. In quick summary: Don't forget to polish it, just a friendly reminder. P/s: Xenopedia's Entry for Gargol is too disturbing
  6. You're absolutely right, the game needs some works. As the moment I put my hands on Xenonauts, I immediately quit x-com (remake). But the longer I play, the more issues appear. If the dev could make major patches, ie: content patches, it would be so great. I do hope the developer team will improve the game to perfections (look at what the Terraria's devs had done!) On the other hand, I truly wish that the community, with their hearts of fire, will make a ultimate mod to the game. The works are still young, but given years, we community can do something great (for example: Heroes III had a absolutely stunning mod). Once again: This game has a lot of potentials.
  7. Yeah, I'm a little disappointed about how Heavy Weapons work. Ballistic HW seems right, heavy ammunition take a double space, too. However, with Laser and up, a HW uses the same ammo pack with an assault rifle? I mean come on, it's 30 bullets (which perhaps stand for 150). My suggestion is that HW guy has to reload 3 times, with 1/3 TU cost, when using universal ammunition.
  8. It's quite a problem, I got frustrated sometimes. This issue definitely need to be fixed. Recommendation: blockages only work within 2-4 tile radius of the target (for low and high cover), at 1 level beneath.
  9. IMPORTANT: I have difficulty trying to determine day/night. I tried to arrange day mission but I cannot distinguish day/night on the geoscape w/o fast forward. Can you make day area lighter on the geoscape (a lot lighter).
  10. I think you should add AK-74 as starting weapon: shorter range and less accurate than current M16, but more powerful. AK-74 is at the middle of shotgun and assault rifle, so it would be more reliable for assault class. SPAS is a good choice for alternating standard Winchester 1300 in the game. SPAS shoot more rapidly (cost less TU), but weaker than the starting shotgun. In short: Winchester -> SPAS -> AK-74 -> M-16
  11. MP5 is a nice touch. Consider it is a sub-machine gun: Weak, short range, but lighter and cost less TU to fire. Desert Eagle is a Heavy pistol: Heavy, shorter range but very powerful and cost slightly more TUS than standard pistol. Beretta AS70 LMG, cost less TUS to fire (around the same as the current sniper rifle), so you can fire 2 bursts per turn, 5 bullets each. Sligtly less powerful than in-game MG. Burst shot only. But I don't think xenonauts should use guns from the 1980s, late 1970s guns fit better, considering they use M60, Winchester 1300,..   14. Hello! I've been enjoying the works of yours. It was great. However, I do have some suggestions for writing style about articles on alien class analysis, for example: I really don't like the red ones above. Xenopedia is the doctor speaking to you, so those sentences are unnecessary. Or, we can change those to speaking style: ...and so on with other races. Besides, I were trying to open the xenopedia.xml by excel for editing but it says: File is corrupted, cannot open. What should I do? I would like to add articles on advanced aerial weapons from here. Also, what about the strings.xml file? I want to combine with this mod, but I'm afraid two string.xml files would cause conflict (I'm reading this but it doesn't help).
