  1. Just wondering, does the rank system add anything to the stats or are they purely cosmetic?
  2. i believe Mind Control was and still is Squad-Sight and not LoS. As long as your unit is within its affective range and a ally alien sees you, you can be mindcontrolled.

  4. I find it odd then even when a Hyperion (tier 3 tank) is shown having rockets in its picture, You actually cant use them besides the main gun during real ground combat...
  5. Problem is: a Psi Alien could take its turn as last after all the other have moved and thus giving them the opportunity to still get squad-sight on your men. A good balance would be to have them go first, before any other aliens.
  6. "Alien psionic powers are no longer all squad-sight. Berserk is LOS-only, Mind Control is squad-sight but now has a limited range, but Fear and Paralyse now have unlimited range" How does the range of MC work through floors?
  7. Ill try it next time i come across an alien base, kinda unplayable now with the psionic powers running wild.
  8. During Alien Base Missions there are vents that can be used as shortcuts/alternate routes. When i wish to destroy the vent 'door' with any gun it will not allow me to do this (Holding Ctrl, aim and then click to fire). Instead I have to fire on the tile that is beyond the door in order to break it. Normally fences and walls in any other ground missions can be shot at to break them, same for any door in the game.

I have noticed a couple of times that whenever i send my troops to a 2nd ground based mission, after completing the first, their load-out and health is full as if they came directly from the base. Most of my men have 2 extra clips and some got used in the first mission, but in the second mission they were present again and units that got hurt in the first mission, were fully healed in the second mission.
  10. the way I've seen any aliens come down from the upper deck of the Cruiser is as Follow: Have 1 soldier stand in main room, preferably close to the outside door. Have 2 soldier stand in front of the door in each of the 'wings' (soldiers blocking the doors prevent aliens from opening the door and continue to look for other ways to find an exit). This way the aliens are forced to go into the main room of the Cruiser and you'll have the main force of your soldier outside the Cruiser, waiting to barge in. Also in order to trigger the aliens coming down send 1 of the soldier posted in the wings, inside the room with the teleporter and then leave the room again, closing the door behind him. This has worked for me for almost all of the Cruiser Crash Sites. There is sometimes an alien who prefers to stay upstairs, but using this method you can eliminate most of them without having to go upstairs yourself.
  11. havent gotten to Carriers yet but i have indeed been able to get rid of most if not all UFO's that get into my radar range.
  12. Im in February now and havent seen any Alien Bases so far. I got 2 bases myself which cover most if not all of the Eastern Continents (Europe, Russia, Africa, Indochina). I even occasionally send a Marauder to Australia to see if there might be a base there, to no avail. In previous version i pretty quickly in either the 2nd or 3rd month encounter a base, but now cant seem to find one. Is there a new mechanic to discovering the new alien bases? Or is this a bug? (not sure myself)
  13. Whenever i do a Ground Mission with a downed UFO, the corpses of those who died in the crash do not appear on the ground and you only see their weapons laying on the ground.. When i save and reload the game they do show up on the ground though.
  14. Had this problem to with Buzzards. They become invisible but you'll still be able to control them.
  15. From what ive seen in the hangar is that 1 cannon is in front and 1 on the wing. But in Air Combat it shows me thats it just 2 cannons in front.
  16. Ive read through the chnagelog, but couldn't find the place where they mentioned that the Corsair now has 2 Cannon hardpoints and no longer a cannon and 2 light hardpoints. So i come here to make aware that a Corsair has 2 Cannon Hardpoints,unable to carry any missles. Could some1 tell me if this is intentional, or some very weird bug?
  17. Got the same problem. Whenever a Soldier is to badly hurt it wont be seen in the Soldier Load-out Screen, but will still be wearing its gear, preventing you from equipping some1 else with the gear. On return to active duty, the soldier will be seen with all its gear on.
  18. I believe the base upgrade didnt give you extra spaces to built, but gave you increased research and production speed.
  19. So I have been noticing a thing with the ammo i have in my belts and inventories. Currently each of my soldiers has 2 ammo in their belt and 2 ammo in their inventory and each time they reload their weapon, it first takes the 2 from the inventory, before taking them form the belt. I figured that if i put ammo in my belt, the reload would take less TUS. But instead it takes them from my inventory and it takes 30 TUS to so so. Is this a bug or is this intentional?
  20. 2 Months into the game i tried to attack a corvette and 2 escorts with 2 condors. The autoresolve said the chance was 50%, so i though why not. On clicking the button, my game crashed. This was in Russia above the water.

  22. CTD on finishing a Month also when in GC sometimes WASD is not repsonding, but using arrow keys make WASD respond again
