GizmoGomez, you should put the actual "spoiler" versions in your first post. That way you don't have to hunt around for it. I know it's linked in the first post, but why not just have it there, I'm thinking. EDIT: I just read both the reread both the Condor and the Foxtrot descriptions. They both loo very good! EDIT2: Pretty soon we might need a Xenopedia mod. ^^

I have to say I'm impressed with all you've put together here!

V19 Stable Rollback to Candidate 3!
Ishantil replied to Chris's topic in Xenonauts-2 Releases & Patch Notes
This is an excellent idea, Chris. I actually stopped playing over the weekend because of the AI lockups. Thanks for putting this together for us on a Saturday. That's a lot of dedication on your part, and I appreciate it very much. -
Ooops, sorry, let me do that.

My problem wasn't so much with being shot in the face, but rather that the grenade didn't do anything. Thus, my disappointment, and subsequent anger at the flashbangs for being worthless.

What change is made to vehicleweapons_gc.xml out of curiosity? I case I wanted to integrate the changes with another vehicle mod, say.

Well, it was the best reason I could come up with for not bringing an autocannon along with your plane. Perhaps actual sensors are situated around the aircraft, while the processing gear is located where the cannon mount is... Notably, a lot of the original writing uses parentheses too often!

I made some suggested edits to the Foxtrot entry, too. See below for details. Remember, we're trying to tell the player about the compromises made to the aircraft to fight UFOs. That means sacrificing payload, in this case.

The technical designation is M61 Vulcan, but saying M61 autocannon or M61 Vulcan cannon will get the point across. I have made some suggested edits to your F-17 Condor description. Please click the link below to view them. I changed the word "maneuverable" to "manoeuvrable" to maintain the British flavor.

That sounds vaugely like Space: Above and Beyond to me, too.

[19 Stable Geoscape] User IO ignored.
Ishantil replied to StellarRat's topic in Xenonauts Bug Reports / Troubleshooting
I've had times when I was not able to click on things too. Infuriating. -
My suggestion is to have the sensor package an acronym name instead of calling it a "xeno-sensor" Such as "Adaptive Radiation Detection Array (ARDA)" or something like that. I think that the description of the thing in the Iceland Incident is suspect. Unless stealth was specifically mentioned (it seemed to gobble up radio waves" or something like that, I would not consider it to be purposefully stealth. I would imagine that the alien materials being highly heat resistant would probably reflect radio waves. There is no mention of gravity shields or anything like a forcefield in anything I've read. I personally liked my "alien arrogance" excuse better, but that's just me.

Yeah, like I said, you have to make certain allowances. You take the F-16 as your baseline and establish it as the F-17 Condor. You could then take the differences between that, and the actual decided upon stats for the F-16. After that, you'd have to decide what exactly they did to get the thing to fly that far. The range of the aircraft is nowhere near close to the "combat radius" listed in multiple sources. So you'd basically have to modify that calculation based on the difference between a fully loaded F-16 and an F-17. You could then extend it to the rest of the craft. The other statistics can be used directly (and rounded off to make it look nice). What you have here is pretty solid, though. I would include a number of aircraft from each "faction" namely some from the Soviets, some from Western Europe, and of course, some from America.

Any of this clash with V19 Stable?
-
Wow, yeah, now it all makes sense!
-
I was using V19SC3. And no, I won't bother with flashbangs anymore. Unless I mod them. If I can't suppress the weakest alien with a flashbang to the face, there's no point in bringing them into combat.

Where does it mention stealth capabilities for the UFO, out of curiosity?

You know, about the only time I reload a game in combat is when the friendly fire is really fantastically unbelievably stupid. Like 40 degree off rockets. No. Just...no.

So...that was the first and last flashbang I'll use in this version. Dude throws it, it literally does nothing to any of the three caesian non-coms in the UFO. Promptly gets autofired to death. Might as well take them out of the game. Useless. Rocket time.
