I'm issued a pistol, for when I carry the recoilless rifle. Crawling around with that is hard enough, without having to worry about my HK as well. Xenonauts are not regular troops. Other than that, I agree. I wouldn't mind a leg slot for soldiers for side arms, but it's not exactly critical. But yes, another option would be to make it a tad smaller.

Yup. It looked awful. Elongating them just a bit, and cranking up the speed so you didn't see too clearly that they didn't start and finish where they should worked somewhat. If you want to try it karthink, I wrote what I learned in the wiki. I would definitely like better projectiles, but it seems like one would have to jury rig it out of the engine limitations.

Had a guy in basic armour (none) kneeling and facing SW, and proceeded to use a medkit. While using the game displayed jackal armour and grenade throw animation. The colour was also wrong, (Very noticeable because the guy he was healing was also kneeling SW, and had jackal armour.) being a darker blue colour.

Desura does have issues, especially with Xenonauts. Read here to use alternative method of download. It seems you got the game down however. What resolution did you choose? Your hardware should be enough to run it, but your graphics driver is quite old. You should update it here.

Uh, yeah no. This is something that belongs, and should stay, in movies. I have tried this, and can confirm that you will not be able to hit anything. (Going from full score with one to no score with two) While Xenonauts might not be realistic, it does strive for a certain theme of seriousness like someone said. And no serious soldier would try this, as he'd know it just doesn't work like in fiction. I'm not saying it's not cool, it is. Which is why we see it a lot.

I'd just launch the Chinook separately.

The only review I've read said everything was better. I can't remember any negative points.. It got 9/10. Save up some money in other words!

Yeah, that's it with Desura. I can't update at all. I get perpetual MCF errors, or Desura hang ups and what not. Even if Desura helps indie developers, they can take a hike, because they do it horribly. Damn! Yes, I'm a bit upset. Apart from that the integrity and trajectory of the projectile would be royally fapped after it hits the first obstacle, it would still have killing power. Fine against a thin wooden wall, but shooting through concrete would seem odd with a rifle, since hv is a tag. Unless we can change the effectiveness of said individual tags or how much resistance a given wall has against it.

I'm in the "Innsatstyrke" in Norway. While I'm not allowed to tell you which one, I am a trained medic, but my current role is shooter in a recoilless rifle team with medic duties being secondary. (CG 84mm) I'm on 24hr standby and train about 30 days a year, compared to 5 days every four years for regular home guard, after mandatory service. All my training to become NCO of the team and corporal or sergeant is complete, though I do not fill the position yet.
