Corporal Hicks
Im extremely disapointed now. After having a hard time trying to update to the latest version, I'm still CTD when a ground battle begins. The version that shows up at title screen is V13. ISn't it supposed to be V13.01?? I still can't play the game...
ko2fan
There is no Mac version of Desura, so it was probably more important to have the Mac version as a standalone download, since that would be the only way to get it, whereas the Windows version can easily be downloaded through their client. Corporal Hicks
The downloadable version is only DMG??? The 13.01 The zip files are 12.
Corporal Hicks
I just wanted to know if anyone has the 13.01 installed from Desura client?? Mine is V13 and I don't have the option to update it anymore. This version is unplayable due to the CTD ground mission bug. I remember Chris wrote somewhere he uploaded a hot fix, but I don't think it's working.
Max_Caine
Hicks, you can actually "fix" v13 with the v12.11 files. The problem with the v13 files is they are missing the map assets (which causes v13 to crash). If you take the map assets from the v12.11 zip and copy them into the appropriate folders in v13 , it shouldn't CTD on going into ground combat. Cyclone Jack
This question may have already been answered several times, and I might be posting in the wrong area, but if someone can answer my question, awesome. I remember finding out about this project in May of last year and preordered it then, and I really haven't checked out the site that much since then seeing as though I knew it would take a while for it to be released, but I just remembered this game and checked it out, looking around, I found out that you switched to Desura after I purchased the game, and I recall it being offered on Steam as well, I suppose my questions would be Is the game going to still be on Steam? If so, is there some way to transfer my preorder on there? If not, how can I show Desura that I own a preorder of the game? And, is there any way to check out the alpha/beta of the game without Desura if it will be available on steam? Don't get me wrong, I'm not against downloading Desura in order to play, it's just the fact of convenience.
Max_Caine
As far as I know, a key for Steam will be made available on release of the game. And because Steam does not offer an alphafunding model, the only way to get updates until release will be through Desura.
Chris
Yeah you'll get a Steam key sent to you when the game is released. They don't do alphafunding stuff though.

PRiME
I can't even get it to install via Desura atm, It just fails connection eventually. Even tried moving the files and starting again. Been that way since V13+
ko2fan
Steam does allow private beta testing though, and allows hundreds of thousands of keys for it.
