Maybe it sounded like a joke but in fact it wasnt. ?

Rly? Was thinking you are folowing this thread, and those question was here like 5 times and devs was alwyas mad when somone asked 4 that. Up to this you was in the group so rly was thinking u joking.

@Dimitri Flamer is good for even touchest enemy but close range.

1 December 1979

It is 3 months passed since aliens invaded our home world. I will try to describe our situation in details, so The Council may know how the situation is looking at the moment and how we dealing with this new threat.

First of all: as you know our funds are tight, when first saucer apperaed on the sky in 1958(I was 18 by then) I knew that sooner or later more will come. Unfortunately no one listen me, so when situation get serious 3 months ago all the countries realize that there is need for special international agency that can deal with that threat.

Because we didnt had time for preperation and becasue each region has its own problems we didn't recived huge fund suport as I was expected. Instead we get 2 milion to start with and promise that eventualy funds will rise if we help to fight alien in those regions.

Togheter with 2 milion we recived 10 best scientist and enginers from all of the countries, togheter with 6 specialy trained soldiers and for first 500 k we was able to bulid base in northern africa 800 km west from Khartoum in Sudan.

Base was build with basic radar for detection of ufos, we included some living spaces for staff as weel as 1 lab and workshop. We also recived 1 dropship plus 2 condors.

With 1.5 milion left I make decision that straigt away we need another base to extend our range of operations. We chosed Indochina as place for it close to Beijing, Seoul, Vladivostok and Tokyo.

Next milion was invested in new labs(we bulided 2 extra) 1 workshop, more leaving spaces for our staff, we also extend our basic radar coverage by 1 extra radar.

There was was need as well for new recruits so we hired best of the best from all of the world.

In first month we fight hard with aliens, especialy becasue we didn't knew what we can expect.

We mostly encounter v. small and small ufos that contains: sebillians, caesans, gargol, small vipers and they egs and few harridans.

Su T10 becomes our main fighter. In reaserch division we have pushed hard to reach some kind of armor protection for our men and we was able to discover jakal armour.

Becasue we was not able to send reacon teams that contains 2-3 soldiers to get information about shooted down ufos - the risk of losing them all was to high- I have writen Clausula 1B that was added to GC procedures.

It is attached below.

During second month we was able to discover all kinds of advenced balistic weapons that helps a lot with fighting aliens and we get all positive feedback from our soldiers. We have also dicovered better explosives so our grenades and misless becomes much better.

I have ordered to set up 3rd base of operation after we have recived funds from the council.

It was placed deep in Candaian terytory 1000 km north of Quebec.

Only at end of the month we started to encounter biger size ufos- corvettes.

We also encountered same kind of aliens like in first month. Only 1 report of 3rd squad indicated something about strange aliens that they encountered going back from one mission to another.

Report is staying that 3 aliens similar to vipers appeared but they was walking on 2 legs instead of 4 and 4th one was huge like a bulding. Becasue it was recon mision when going back from previously fight mission. They decided to not engage enemy and left that site ASAP.

Third month started v. good for us, as mentioned biger ufos started to fly and our Su T10 was good in shooting them down. Up to this we was able to discover new technologis.

We have developed new fighter that was able easier to deal with biger enemy crafts.

We was able to interiorigate aliens, and we have captured one of the alien officers for interiorigation.

New weapon was introduced a Tactical Rocket luncher as weel as just a week ago we discovered improved jackal armour which we was able to produce and soldiers we just sended to last mision are better protected.

In the midle of the month we usses 3 fighter squads, becasue alien crafts becomes smarter and start to fly with escorts.

We have also encountered 2 new type of aliens that was encountered in second month. It seems like a biger version of viper and a queen of vipers or king we still not sure.

Anyway it hapens 2 times and it is always very hard encounter for our forcess with technology we posses at the moment.

Especialy viper king seems very hard to kill, soldiers reported that they use lots of rockets c4 and flamers and still those fight always involved some casaulities and always had risk of entire aquad beeing kiled.

Definitly we have to discover better weapon to deal with them and its our goal for month 4.

Our forcess also encountered strange subects from the past, we dont know what to thing about those encounters.

From bad news, in midle of the month aliens had aerial terror mission near Sevdolovsk In Rusia.

Unfortunately 24 hours earlier our squad of 2x Su T10 and Mig was fighting landing ship with escort and we lost 2 fighters and 3rd was severly damaged.

Because of that we was not able to respond to alien terror mission. Soviet goverment was furious and wanted to withdraw all suport for our project. Fortunately we was able to convince them to not do this, but still we have lost over 200k in they subvention.

So at end of month 3 we have 3 basses with: 40 scientists, 60 enginers, 42 soldiers (we decided to hire more- maby they progress slower byt if we lose some of them its not hard blow for our forcess, cause they have similar experience) - 22 main base and 10 per other 2 basses for they protection.

Our basees posses 3 fighters(2x Su and 1 x Mig).

Our budget at end of month 3 was negative by 200k so we dont know how things will go further, maby we made to much investments, anyway we try to use our enginers to produce some goods and eventualy earn on they wages.

TOP SECRET

CLAUSULE 1B to GC missions

This clausule should be known only to leaders of the squad and under death sentence can not be discused ANYWHERE.

We fight the enemy we never fought before that is more advenced technologicly then we are. Every time we are able to shoot down the ufo it is impossible to scan the terain or see anything down there, probably aliens posses some jaming technology that prevents that. In this circumstances it is posible that our entire squads may be wiped out and we will not be able to know what hited them.

That is why to prevent losess of entire squads this CLAUSULE will be introduced and has to be used in GC missions.

I know that you all are trained to always care for your men and leave no one behind, but survival of our rase and our freedom depends from success of the misions. That is why we need to use part of squad to lure enemy and take enemy fire on themselfs so rest of the team can react acordingly.

Otherwise it posible that when you face enemy you can't deal with all squad can be wiped out and we need to avoid it.

So it is alowed to group comander to expose 2 men from the squad(that are equpied with shelds and best posible armor for protection) to heavy anemy fire, as well as scouting of dangerous positions and even sacrificing them for the purpose of sucess in mision and for seafty of other squad memebers and humanity.

Maby they dont know about that, but by they sacrifice they serve humanity and we will always remember them and be greatfull to them.

We open Hall of Fallen Heroes when they names will be remembered.

It could be a "history of a struggle" book, that posess the essense of experience of humanity (in memuars of fallen heroes) in the fight with alien unknown invasion. for the new children who born because of heroic deeds of all xenonaut defenders (and mass civilian death... thank to isteric counsil that make tactical nuclear bombing when frightening 20-30 alien terrorists attack city districts and killing 10-000 and more own population against it and all xenonaut costs)...

...because fighting with alien invasion is a constant financial crisis... to xenonautts,but not for those, who could kill own population with ease (one nuclear bomb cost more that a million dollars!!!), but think better how to make some new blood-money and not to give them to humanity defenders otherwise... (don't tell that to soldiers, commander... even the toughtest could say about that, "that Earth is sucks" and disobey, greatly demoralize all others... telling that counsil from the begining planned to work agains people and for aliens).

ADs: buy our soft boots from allien alloys and than no dirt coud stand by your foot!

or... humanity defenders would have no money for little shopping... they must die not from mista... not from hunger, but from alien plasmas, yes? And merry alien crismas! So give thanks to somebody, that aliens doesn't have planetary weapons or they doesn't got bothered by xenonaut activity to fast... and thanks to clon-cameras of alien fleet, that can't make new recruits so fast too... and alien fleet docks for long-time ufos construction three!

See how easy it is to defend the earth from so lazy and slow-comming enemy! You could even have time to make an alien Zoo, circus, special films or sell captured clones as semi-automatic baby-nurses and garden-keepers. Hey, they even doesnt know what is blitzcrieg is! Stupid clones! No time for clones attack!

Lets try to make your own future, commander! Hm... and force George Lucas not to write his Star Wars clone attack, too! Hm... well, meybe i am not right, but i think, commander, that it would be even better to fire him from our workshop too. He doesn't work - just wright his themes all the time and dream about popularization theme... well, in other way, in financial matter, commander, we could... maybe... make some benefit from that. In future... maybe.

hallo schönen guten abend

mir wurde mal gesagt man solle im englischen schreiben wenn man keinen erreicht habe ich sogar mit hilfe von google übersetzer und mal ehrlich kratzt es keine sau.mir wurde gesagt bei fragen hier in diesem tread hab ich gemacht,ja gemacht hab ich es,das war es dann auch.Hab es probiert und probiert hab 3 von diesen grossen neuen geknackt ,mit der sprengkraft hätte ich einen wolkenkratzer einstürzen lassen können,und kratz es wenn nein.ist ja auch ok ist wahrscheinlich nicht mehr was für alte leute(37)p.s. xcom hatte ich mehrmals durchgezockt alle teile bis zur duseligen weltraum schlacht game ,x-force auch bis zum ende und ufo -ai+ufo exteresstrial welch geiles game und vor allem -sorry-die community die war dort sehr gut,nicht wie hier .werde ehh bestimmt gleich gelöscht ist mir egal.wenn mir einer sagen kann wie ich es mit xnt --ist super gut--zocken kann ohne das ich gleich 3 riesen viecher die violetten habe und überlebe dann sagt es mir gerne auch pv -ansonsten good buy schade ums geld -ehrlich .aber auch das wird niiiiiemandeeeen interessieren -wetten-.

Ok, als aller erstes mal würde ich bei zukünftigen posts auf deine rechtschreibung und grammatik achten, da es mich nicht im geringsten überrascht, dass Google Übersetzer deinen Wortsalat im englischen ähnlich sinnlos erscheinen lassen hat wie den deutschen Originaltext. Ich schreibe das hier nicht aus böswilligen Motiven, lediglich ist es ehrlich gesagt enorm schwierig zu verstehen was du uns eigentlich sagen möchtest.

Soweit ich das entziffern kann hast du scheinbar zum einen Probleme mit den Sprengladungen für das Einbrechen in UFOs und zum anderen mit Gargols/Vipers in den ersten Missionen (groß, violett und verursachen enormen Nahkampfschaden).

Zu ersterem:

Hab es probiert und probiert hab 3 von diesen grossen neuen geknackt ,mit der sprengkraft hätte ich einen wolkenkratzer einstürzen lassen können,und kratz es wenn nein.

Was genau meinst du mit den "grossen neuen" und welche art von Sprengstoff wurde benutzt? Für das Eindringen in UFOs benötigst du die "breaching charge", normale Handgranaten, Raketen, etc.. bewirken gegen die Hülle eines UFOs rein garnichts. Desweiteren wäre es hilfreich zu wissen ob du irgendwelche Mappacks abgesehen von Kabills random map pack benutzt, da diese mit dem Sprengladungsfeature inkompatibel sind.

Zu zweiterem:

Die Schwierigkeitsstufe in XNT ist wesentlich höher als im Originalspiel, jedoch besitzen deine Soldaten auch mehr Möglichkeiten damit umzugehen. Für die Gargols und Vipers ist es schlicht unzureichend einfach nur mit vollen TP und Reaktionsschüssen hirnlos auf End Turn zu klicken bis alles auf der Karte tot ist. Die beste Möglichkeit mit ihnen umzugehen sind Flammenwerfer, mit denen ein Soldat auf kurze Entfernung eines dieser Viecher allein töten kann. Dadurch dass diese Gegner pro Zug Lebenspunkte regenerieren solltest du versuchen deine Soldaten in eine Position zu manövrieren, die es möglichst allen erlaubt auf das Alien zu schießen, um einen kill in diesem Zug zu garantieren. Wenn du etwas Zeit schinden möchtest um nicht überrannt zu werden, hilft es Soldaten mit vollen Zeiteinheiten in ihre Richtung zu deuten; Bei 4 oder mehr besteht die Chance, dass die AI beschließt sich zu zurückzuziehen anstatt dich direkt anzugreifen. Weiterhin sind Rauchgranaten enorm effektiv um die normale Alienverstärkung (mit Distanzwaffen) davon abzuhalten deine Squad auszulöschen während du noch damit beschäftigt bist die Nahkampfgegner zu töten.

Generell ist der Mod darauf ausgelegt, dass es nun Momente gibt in denen du dich komplett aus der Mission zurückziehen musst, da deine Rambo-Supersoldaten einem tatsächlich überlegenen Feind gegenüberstehen, anstatt sich wie der Terminator durch eine Horde austauschbaren Kanonenfutters zu schlachten.

Wenn dir der Schwierigkeitsgrad zu hoch ist, empfehle ich daher einen der anderen Mods für Xenonauts auszuprobieren, vielleicht findest du ja etwas dass dich mehr anspricht.

Tl;dr: This mod is very different from the vanilla gameplay experience, Darki99. Since difficulty and enemy behaviour has been ramped up, combined with additional alien types and weaponry, adapting to new tactics is paramount for survival. Playing this like vanilla leads almost certainly to failure; start by looking at the new equipment available for your soldiers and experiment with different setups, that'll make your early game experience considerably less frustating.

Vielen vielen dank CRAVE.Mitdem flammenwerfer hatte ich noch garnicht probiert hatte ihn eher als unnütz angesehen war ein grosser fehler.Ansonsten super tips und ja meine grammatik ist fürn popo,sorry.Werde weiter dran bleiben

Guys I will release this update for now as experimental patch.There tree reasons for that:

Note:This is primary for testing purposes,however it's stable and it contains only important bug fixes as well as compatibility with CE 0.26 and some balance tweaks.New content which was planed is put on hold for now,unless you want to test my new Anti Andron weapon :)

1) I want to make sure everything is working fine because it uses new "modular system"

2) I want you to familiarize you with new installation procedure.It's quite simple but it may prove more difficult for some people.

3) From this point on we will release every small update and hotfix in this way so it may require time to get used to it.

Let's jump to installation proccedure:

1) You need core pack (main pack of 600+ mb).Apply Core package as always nothing has changed.

2) Download patch from this link : http://db.orangedox.com/RMtVZLH0tDJ6Q1V6R1/XNT%20Into%20Darkness%20v%205.33(Edited-Sentelin).zip

3) Now start Xenonauts launcher and press on "Modding Tools" button

4) Click on Install mod and select XNT Into Darkness v 5.33 (Edited-Sentelin).zip then press "Open"

5) Once it's done it should say "Mod Installation Complete"

6) Exit launcher and head to assets/mods/XNT Into Darkness v 5.33 (Edited-Sentelin).Inside you will find Xenonauts.exe

7)Copy/Paste that exe file inside Xenonauts root folder and overwrite old exe.

8)Start launcher and you should see at the top "Xenonauts Community Edition 0.26HF .... "

9)Press "Modding tools" again and under "Load Mod " select XNT Into Darkness v 5.33 (Edited-Sentelin),then press "Back" and launch the game.

Edit:I had some trouble with MEGA so I uploaded on Dropbox instead,it's ready now for download.

Hi, i wonder if is possibly sleep an Andron,a viper and a tiny fliying saucer, and what is the way.

I see "green core biological grenades", and i don´t know as you get them.

For last, is there any place to see the tree development xenopedia for consult what i need to develop?,,

I presume you cant stun mechanical units you do not think same way? And viper isn't mechanical is it? so....

Hi, Alewalek, i try to stunned an andron with baton, and tiny saucer, and i see stun damage when hit them, but never down...

The vìper is a organic lifeform,yes, but happen the same, hit,hit,hit with baton and stun grenades but not fall....

Dou you see "green core venom grenades"?

Anyway guys did any of you give exp. patch a try (It's on page 57/post number #567) ?

It´s good to know it,I thought what i can lost a important upgrade for me/my mens whit andron study. It´s better.

hi guys

how come it with me in all ground missions after about 5 min crashes. matter what ground mission always return to the dektop and because he says exe does not work mehr.hab me just now incorporated and now the sorry please help
