Please keep an eye on the AI moves during your playthrough, and if you see the aliens doing anything that looks like a clearly suboptimal move then please post about it here so we can fix it. Examples of suboptimal moves might be the AI just not attacking, or attacking the wrong target, positioning its troops badly, shooting and moving in the wrong order when it would clearly be more beneficial to do things the other way around, or anything else that is clearly a "bad" move. If you're reporting issues in this thread then please attach the save game from the start of the alien turn so we can reproduce it and look into why the AI made that decision. In many cases it would also be very helpful if you could add an annotated screenshot explaining what you'd expect the alien to do instead! 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If he can't shoot the sniper due to ranges/stealth armor aim reduction, then he should at least try to go back inside so he's not as exposed. The only one I don't consider something that needs fixing is the shield targeting - part of the point of shields is being able to take hits on behalf of other Xenonauts! We'll check if this is a bug, but that spot the alien ends up in isn't a bad spot - even if we assume 360 degree vision for your soldiers, there's only one soldier with vision on that spot. And I don't think the Psyon will have much chance to hit a Stealthsuit soldier at that range; there's a -31 hit chance penalty there (I need to update that so it works like the Wraith cloaking field now works). Skitso Posted June 14, 2024 Share Posted June 14, 2024 (edited) Turn one, cleaner shoots my guy (green dotted line) and moves in cover (green arrow). This was a good move IMO. Turn two, cleaner moves back to where he was (red arrow) and stops there doing nothing. This was stupid as he should know there were multiple enemies around the corner and he didn't even look that way. Correct action would have been to flee and regroup with others or at least stay in the cover and reserve TU's for reaction. I moved my shield guy behind him. Skitso Posted June 16, 2024 Share Posted June 16, 2024 Not a stupid move, but just a general thing regarding the AI: Currently it often feels like the enemies are too aggressive and rush towards my landing area or spawn too close to it in the first place. It makes bulk of the combat revolve around the starting area, while leaving rest of the map rather empty - which is often a bit boring.
