Chris Posted November 11, 2022 Share Posted November 11, 2022 This is planned to be the final hotfix for V24, fixing a major gameplay issue and a few other minor problems. You'll need to be on the Experimental Branch to access the build. I imagine there's not too much appetite to heavily playtest this build given there's not too many changes from V24.6 which was already fairly stable, but the plan is to leave this on the Experimental branches for a week or so and then push out to the main Steam branch unless we've introduced any big new crashes. The previous build is on the Experimental Legacy branch if you want to continue to play a save from that game, as updating to this new hotfix will break save games. Fixes / Improvements: I think we've managed to fix the annoying long-standing bug where the game sometimes randomly locks up during loading. Let us know if you continue to experience it (although hopefully you won't). Fixed a crash if you tried to cancel the soldier equip screen when launching a dropship, rather than launching the dropship. Fixed a crash that could happen on the text intro if you hammered the Esc key. Completing the recharging lasers project no longer removes their ammo entirely. Fixed an issue where UFOs that were not meant to land would land anyway. Mentarch now has an integrated plasma rifle alongside its melee weapon. The loading hang fix will be on the main branch, and the builds on the main branch load much faster than the ones on Experimental anyway because they have less debug logging in them.
