It would be nice.

@AD: yeah, but having it say 'assault' was more to say "yes, a dropship can attack this." It'll still say that its not a crash-site when you click on it.

Hi all,

My first post, yay!

Anyway to stay on topic loving the game, but one issue from xcom has popped up again, equiping troops can take time, especially if you like to decide where they keep everything, Iwas wondering if it would be possible to save custom weapon loadouts that can be used as presets to quickly equip new troops, like say I have equiped one of my shotgun troops the way I like it and I want all of my shotgun troops to have the same equipment in the same locations, armour and all, just save the loadout, and pick from a dropdown menu for the rest of troops.

I absolutely support this idea - give the player a few loadout slots, filled by default with the basic kit, which can then be customised as new items are unlocked. These could be tied to the "role" titles/icons that were being discussed for soldiers.

Indeed, they could take some of the tedium out of stores management - rather than individually getting all the bits to make up kits, you just have the option to buy X number of "Assault" kits, for example - so if the player buys 2 of those the game just automatically buys 2 shotguns, 2 sets of armour, grenades, ammo etc...

This is about the 5th time its been brought up on these forums.

Yes, its known and yes, its being considered after the game is more complete.

Mylar - there's no functionality for throwing things yet. Maybe we'll add it, we'll see. It's not that high on my priorities right now.

Gasp! High-Explosive relays were like my No. 1 tactic in X-COM! :(

They were also insane from a realism point of view. I'm assuming you mean the live grenade relay?

If throwing stuff to eachother isn't added (or if only a adjacent tile passing system), it would be another point towards having some kind of squad system. Then you could have a few troopers who carry the explosives per fire-team.
