  1. Improved AI is coming in the later versions.
  2. Eh, what exactly does post count have to do with anything? Maybe you should just learn to agree to disagree with those who don't like the game as much as you do.
  3. Welcome aboard Nalsii and great post. Just started playing TFTD again today and whenever I press the end turn button I say a little prayer to all the gods I don't believe in that all I see is the hidden movement screen.
  4. He mentioned in the holiday thread that V16 will be coming out shortly after he comes back, and few weeks after that *hopefully* the beta rolls out. EDIT: What gnarly said.
  5. IMHO, JA2 is holding out quite nicely on it's own still after all these years. Now, remake of Terror from the Deep...
  6. What Buzzles said. Also, all the sprites would have to be re-done. Quite a task just to add a small detail like that.
  7. It's been ages since I used IRC the last time, so can't be of any help here. Guess we could always set-up a Steam group for Xenonauts, it does have a group chat. Though, no one usually uses that.
  8. Anyone really can make one AFAIK. And I do see the point of trying to not split up the people, but there might be some good uses for it. Like real time problem solving or just generally getting to know each other.
  9. Rgr that. I did a search by going through the pages here (not all of thme) and with google, but didn't see this mentioned, so decided to post it.
  10. Oops, seems I've missed this thread. Okie then, here goes. Name's Dowly, not Downly or Dowley. Dowly. I currently live in the eastern part of Finland. I'M 26 YEARS OLD! *struggles to find enough fingers* Started gaming when I was.. err.. probably 5 or 6. My brother got a Commodore C64 (cassette loader of course) and I played that a lot. Few years later, upgraded to Amiga, which saw a ton of use as well. Went through the usual, NES, SNES, PS1 and then finally got my first real computer. Pretty much from that point, my game preferences have been simulations, strategy and city builders. Close Combat, Combat Mission, Jagged Alliance, Syndicate, European Air War, DCS sims, Silent Hunter sims, Sim City, Caesar III etc. etc. All very close to my cold, frozen heart. My X-COM experience is somewhat extensive, yet not so. I played the original trilogy, but only once finished the first game. Always something that distracted me from finishing the rest. What else.. think that was all... Oh right, my humor might be a little rough at times, so forgive me about that.
  11. No, not the same of course. Was referring to the bit about some old fans being angry.
  12. Sounds like certain other Firaxis game we've been hearing about a lot lately.
  13. Conditions: Normal difficulty/September '79/Light scout & scout Issue: Saving when Chinook is en route to a crash site, sometimes the CS disappears and you are notified about it. Once the Chinook gets closer, the crash site reappears, but the icon has changed to that of a landed UFO. Chinook en route to the crash site. CS icon normal. Shortly after saving the game, the CS disappears. Chinook gets closer and the CS reappears, but the icon has changed.
  14. Hey vyrank, There's a workaround for the stuck time issue when loading a saved game: As for the crash, you should install the hot fix Giovanni posted: http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/3117-v15-1-entering-crash-site-at-the-middle-of-Soviet-Union-crash-the-game?p=36577&viewfull=1#post36577 Hope that helps!
  15. Majority of my engagements have been from 12 or 6, but that's probably because they've either been running away (scouts) or have been coming straight at me (fighters). But I've had engagements start from all kinds of positions, like MrPyro said, it's most likely to do with the orientation of the UFO on the map when your fighters intercept it.
  16. We definitely need Finnish troops with Molotov Cocktails and Suomi SMGs.
  17. Print Screen seems to work fine for me. Tried both paint & photoshop and windowed & full screen mode. (64bit Win7)
  18. ^ Yup, eighty 512x684 images form the GeoScape map, with total size being ~15 megs.
  19. Xenonauts is my favorite of the two. Just too bad it's kinda being drowned under all the XCEU hype.
  20. Yeah, I actually prefer the black version too. Just that I'm forced to play using my telly as monitor, so the dark blue is a bit easier on the eye.

    Borderlands 2

Usually I steer clear from these kind of games, but decided to give Borderlands 2 a try and I'm actually enjoying it quite a lot. Still pretty early in the game, but already liking playing as Zero. Nothing like sneaking on someone's back and unloading a 3-shot shotty from close up. It kinda reminds me of Serious Sam, not as hectic, but it has it's moments when you (usually) accidentally kill a bunch of guys in a move that could be straight out of a John Woo movie.
