  1. I've always felt that that there not being anything to manufacture at the start was a little bit of a waste. If only to show that you had engineers and that they could be useful form the beginning, giving you additional choices. But worse, would be to remove it. You are going to have players who don't realise that you have to have one and won't know when it's best to get one. After all, they didn't need one at the beginning to get anything and there are no beginning manufacturing items. So, with the 13 day delay just to get a foxtrot, that could be a very frustrating pain. At least if it's there to begin with, you won't be frustrating those players.
  2. Yay! Really great to see it so close now. Looking forward to v21
  3. Most of the personality the troops get comes from their actions once my game have started. This results in entirely fictitious character traits that may work themselves back into the game.
  4. There was a hiss of rejection as the automated doors of the LA bioscrape clinic closed, sealing it's inhabitants once more against a harsh external world. thothkins pulled the coat collar tighter against the persistent warm rain whose reflections turn the city into a twisted fun house of neon. thothkins walked unsteadily, reaching tentatively with each step as if unaccustomed to such movement. It had been months on the operating table and of long suffering through the recuperation. But now, with HATE written on every atom of every molecule of every cell of thothkins body, there would be changes to this darkened world. Nothing would ever be the... "Oh what Max?! Yer kiddin' me?!" "Yeah, well the same to you pal. I didn't even know what "fanonise" meant anyway, ya rat!" thothkins moved awkwardly into the throng of people, lost in a crowd of extras in their own lives. With so much pointless, self created hate in every cell, how far away could the first celebrity blog be?
  5. Hey Skitso, I've had zero Xenonauts time lately, but I everything is saved away and always appreciated.
  6. Would you guys stop with the sulks and defend this *!$* corridor ?! Hey, does one of you have asthma? >choke<
  7. I wasn't so much thinking about it, as reacting to it so...oh I seem to be an inferno of meat and steel. I wonder where the steel came from... They'll put anything in slippers these days. Still, nice to go out in a blaze of glory...
  8. The italics symbolise something flickering in the movement of the air...something warm, something almost ephemeral....it's on the tip of my tongue...gah! the tip of my tongue's on fire! gah!..Oh yeah, I remember now...
  9. I'm not sure that cremating the thread even after it died would work in stopping it.
  10. And the pilot light of Xenonauts once again brings it's warmth to the forum.
  11. I can't be the only one to find parkas scary can I?
  12. Perhaps if someone would post there to provide a spark?
  13. Yup, one of my favourites. I was hoping to do a mod where the parka clad civvies on the polar maps have Reaper abilities to get some of that Thing feeling into the game.

  15. Alien 2: What's that he's screaming? Alien!: "I'll never leave the chinook! Never!"
  16. Alien 1: Look! Canned Humans falling from the sky! Alien 2: Xenonauts. They're called Xenonauts. Alien 1: They're called sitting ducks. Let's just shoot them now! Alien 2: No, let's wait until they're down and let them get into position. Then we'll start. Alien 1: But...
  17. "Ouch! My nose!" I'd love to see more of the artwork back in, but not just so I have to click through it to move on. I'd hope to see it combined with the useful screens if at all possible.
  18. The last time we tried that the Commissar thought it as an incentive that he had to collect everyone's names for it. It took months to get some of the posters out of hiding.
  19. ...and ignorance claims another innocent-ish life. As commonly known, in one of the very early versions of the Pied Piper of Hamlin, the rat catcher initially took all of the shoes of the town's children as punishment for non-payment. "As I will walk barefooted due lack of money for shoes, so shall your children walk barefooted as a reminder of debts owed." He called out to all the little shoes in the night, using a special musical instrument, known as the shoehorn. All of the little shoes and boots and sandals sneaked out of their owners homes and followed the rat catcher out of town, in step to his strange melody. The townsfolk seemed upset, but not devastated. "Cobblers!" they shouted. Soon the children all had shoes again. That's when the rat catcher started to play for keeps... The Shoehorn of Hamlin is now memorialised is a device used to extract reluctant feet from stiff boots.
