  1. Hi Chris read through your fixes, but i could not find the game crash bug i had a problem with. the bug was during alien base missions, during alien turn the game would crash when u heared the sound of drones movig about. upon repeat loads, i found it could be from the larger drones getting stuck in doors and walls when moving through the tight corridors and over things. did you remove the larger drones from the base maps or fix the problem some other way?? i may if missed it but hope its fixed, many an hour was spent reloading the same mission to prevent crashing.
  2. i find steam ok. never had too many problems myself to call it poo. so what makes steam poo exactly. yes they slap on loads of very old games and stuff and some games need tweaking before playable but i got that from hard copy formats.
  3. Well am happy with what we have and look forward to the added maps. Just want to see crashed visuals and war torn maps some day. But overall lile the game. Played 200+ hours to date. And all my total.war games.are 300-600 hours played so shows how much i enjoy.
  4. Its ok. I slaughtered the aliens so am good just pointing it out. :-)
  5. I like the TU/AP system but noticed elite aliens have a lot more TU's than humans. I can understand some aliens being fast but noticed aliens moving throwing grenades and shouting multi shots twice all in same turn. When it costs a human 30tu to throw a grenade and 40tu to multi shoot. Thats a lot.of tu for the aliens i feel.
  6. I like the game. The random thing is something i would of loved to see. The original.xcom used a interesting random system. Taking same size tiles and puttimg them together to create a fresh map Now if you go play the REMAKE xcom you will.find a LACK of random.tile.sets too. This game is more tactical.i feal. Harder and fun. Yes i have played every xcom type, and ufo type and like this style. And look forward to more tile sets and a shit load more maps. But also want to see more battle damaged maps and crashed ufo ships.
  7. For me i find alien elite soldiers have a lot of time units. Had one alien. Walk up to a xeno over 15 squares. Unload two rapid fire shots of 3 bursts each then throw a grenade at another soldier. When it costs a xeno 30-35 points to throw a grenade. 1 third of a total time units. And 40+ tu for rapid multi shot fire.
  8. Its too late now but given the option to choose from a selection of landing points, (something a approaching team would do) on the map before deployment would of been a good angle. For example, hover over that office block we can access the street through the building. Drop us in that carpark that wall has good cover. Drop us right on top of them we have no time to lose, civilians are dying down there. Just a thought.
  9. Deploying smoke as they drop would be cool. A 360 smoke ring.
  10. Its simple. Make it the xenonauts turn to go first one you do deployment.
  11. Simples really. Every ship you assault and it does not have droids then use smoke grenades on the bridge and stun grenades just pile them on until they all drop to complete mission. Same goes for bases. Eventually one will pop up. What gets me is you dont need to build an alien containment room to capture and hold live aliens.
