doing a search on my computer came up with nothing also but i finally found the correct path at - c: programfiles/desura/common/xenonauts

seem to me that would get tiring very fast but i do have to agree the air combat in xenonauts is top notch and supposed to get even better. seems like i saw a post by chris that he said there was a key to push to auto win ground battles. cant remember where that post was though. sorry

I only see good things for Xenonauts coming from firaxis advertising at this time because of anticipation and release times. eg. "I wish it wasnt such a long wait for firaxis game to be released. ill look to see what else is going on.-searches [x-com games]- WHOA!! no need to wait--->XENONAUTS<---

check the workaround thread, easier way than retyping is found there.

Issue: can not save game over existing save game. workaround:click the text line first then click the save you want to overwrite then hit enter and click yes. works anytime.

Venting i think.

Most of the time its several years between this type of game releases and i usually only play each one for mabye 2 months before im ready to try the next one, play it for couple of months then mite go back to the first one and install latest mods and replay it. its not like the market is so overloaded with these games i dont have the time to try them all. for me its more like puting my money into a game type than an individual game. P.S.- xenonauts has my backing 100% as do the others.

ctd luppo - open the file with notepad then click the edit tab and click replace tab there. then type in "caesan/weapon" in the find text line and "caesan/noncombatant/weapon" in the replace text line and click the replace all button. save file and exit. if you do a file confirmation on desura it will remove this modification so you will need to do the replace again.

I loved the original x-com series and ive played all newer remakes/rethinks since. There is no reason for me to change now, no matter what they spend on advertising i will buy and try any and all x-com related games that look even remotely decent. Rite now i have bought Xenonauts and am watching two more - ufo extraterrestrials shadows over earth - xcom - I believe most true x-comers in the long haul will end up doing the same.

ive played 7 v9 new games up to mid august and cant get my research or manufacture to give me new options. manufacture - 0 options research is fine up to where i should get laser weapons and wolf armor but i get no options for either. im with you Windex, come on patch! i would have opened a thread for v9 but i noticed my problem was already in master bug thread.

I am assuming shot. unless otherwise stated i assume "shot"guns use buckshot. if the shotgun uses slugs then it should be treated more like just another rifle. mabye a better word for the shotgun would be "riot gun"-short range-high damage-wide spread-low time unit cost becouse it would need no aiming, point and fire. but almost of no use at range.

although i do believe a shotgun should have a close range damage amplifier.

sniper rifle costs far more time units than a shotgun which makes it dangerous to use at short range. with a shotgun you will probably get off one shot without retaliation fire becouse of the low time unit cost then get off a second killing shot where with a sniper rile if you dont kill in one shot becouse of the high time unit cost you will probably get retaliation fire and also may not have the time units to get off a second shot.

also Henkka you can sell a lot of the items you have gotten off of downed alien ships from your "stores" tab in your base for millions.
