  1. Sounds like a great idea, especially if you can work it so that there is something for scientists / technicians to do right from the start as well. At the moment I just sell the starting F-16 (useless till fighters show up) get a 2nd MIG (as bait) and fire the starting scientists / technicians to save money until I actually need them... so yeah, would be nice to have starting 'resources' that are useful.
  2. I've been able to throw them fine, and successfully had them explode each time I've tried. Though I have noticed the chance to hit percentage doesn't always (I think I had it once) come up for grenades like it did in V8.9.
  3. Yep, had this as well (though not with 1%) where you'll have a really low chance to hit but pull off the greatest shot ever... also had it the other way though, with a really high chance to hit and soldier almost shoots his foot off. Haven't really tested it though.
  4. Yeah, I've noticed this a well. Seemed fine in V8.9, but in V9.0 the wings (and just the front of the craft generally) seem to have some strange line of sight properties that make it hard (or at least harder than it was / should be) to get a proper view of certain tiles.

I haven't tried stunning any aliens in previous versions, but I just did a mission where I stunned three aliens (note: there were only three aliens on the map), and all three where counted as 'escaped' on the post mission screen (I got a score of -6, although the corpses were still shown as 'destroyed'). Two of the aliens were stunned using the stun rod, and the third as the result of rather large explosion triggered by a grenade involving several environmental objects.
  6. I've had it happen a few times now where an alien (the new green ones) survived at least 2 shotgun blasts at close range. Not entirely sure if this is a bug or I've just been really unlucky, but compared to V8.9 where a shotgun was a one hit kill about 80% of the time (especially at close range) it just doesn't seem right. Note: This is specifically related to the shotgun as all the other weapons (with the possible exception of the pistol), seem to be as deadly (if not more so) than they where is V8.9.
  7. Soldiers with machine guns equipped get stuck when attempting to vault a fence / hedge on the farmland tile set. You can get them moving again by making them crouch and giving them a new move order (they will sort of 'float' through the fence / hedge).
