  1. Of the 4 you're offering, I'd personally go for 2 or 3. But If I could design it myself, I'd have the head on the front (like in 4, but remove the text) and the Xenonauts on the back (like it's on the frint in 1)
  2. Impossibru. This game is brilliant, and I the fact that it's going to offer so much content up front (show actual gameplay rather than just an interview with the chap in charge). Will nett them a great deal of interest. Although to be safe, I'd prefer for chris to go for a lower amount (circa $150k or so) to be sure of success. I bet it'll get way more, though.
  3. Hi there, Just a thought: The regional funding committee screen (while is very useful and informative, and well designed) leaves me wanting more. Would it be feasible to add a secondary tab (akin to the soldier review tab that shows after the mission complete screen) that shows a sort of simplistic "Income Statement" (Or Statement of comprehensive income if you like) view of income and expenditure. Perhaps its just the accountant in me, but I don't seem to have a full understanding of where my money goes. Just a thought, it might be nice to add immersion. What do you guys think?
  4. The most common map I've seen is the Fighter map. Are there going to be different maps for the same UFO? For example, the Fighter map does get a little old, in the early game, since you get that map like 5 or so times consecutivly

  7. Dunno.... While I agree with you, I think from a company perspective, a Into could double as a trailer. A good trailers would bring masses of attenetion from, Youtube and Steam. If Chris really wants to maximise the financial return, I think a good into (akin to HW2) is a must. Just my opinion though....

  9. Yeah, I hear thats "being considered" to be patched back in. I bought it, it's not bad. Quite fun, really. But It needs FoW and it needs the ability to create your own character.
  10. If some form of critical hit was included, it'd be quite straightforward to do. Lets say wit no research done on that alien type, you get a possibile critical at 10% (possibly working in soldier stats too in some mathimatical way). If to have performed the research, you get the possible critical at 25%. To balance this out, it could only work with aimed shots, and require 3 dead and 3 live bodies of those aliens t complete the research.
  11. I would LOVE the ability to target different parts of the body. And the head should not always be the most vulnerable, either. It'd take some research to work out which is the most sesitive area of the alien.
  12. Do the aliens go after unconciouse civies? It'd be funny saving them, Men in Black style, except with stun battons. "get down!.. no all the way down!" *ZAP*
  13. Hopefully this will be included, and I'm just behind the times, but I'd really like to have either a Tab / button to have a look at financial performance, position and current in / outflows. While I know this is not an economics sim,, managing money is an important part of any such strategic game. I suppose it wouldn't have to be a button, It could be a monthly / Yearly pop-up (kinda like the interception one) where a review of performance is presented to the player. It should show the finances (income, spend) the current level of alien activity, the relations with the different sectors (movement) and the stats of intercepts / ufo's downed / killed / captured / losses.... et centra.   14. Wow, looking good. And working late too. 2 things, though: 1.) Looking awesome. Love the new Chinhook, it really shows what can happen when you get the support that we all hope you do. 2.) Which brings me onto the Funding thermomter: When is this coming in? How can I further contribute? I want to pre-order but I want to pay more than the £20 asked. PC Devs suchs as yourself are really a dying breed and I want to encourage you in what little way I can!
  15. Sorry mate, My bad. I can see that my post was ambiguose. I made a follow-up suggestion a few posts on. It is the intercept pop-up window, but themed in such a way that it makes you feel like you're looking at an instament in the interceptors cockpit.
  16. Lol, I loved that line. That episode was a winner. It'd be a cool easteregg if this was written on a business card, that can be looted from the body of a dead civillian.
  17. It may not feel like traditional JA2, but, IMHO, It doesnt look too bad. I'll give it a bash and see how it does. I cant see it being a cult favorite the same way it's predisessors are, though.
  18. Oh, ok. I'm holding off pre-ordering, and this is one of the 2 reasons (The second is I just bought a new game and don;t want my limited playtime to be too distracted with this awesome looking game). I would want to contribute more towards the project (willing to pay full retail £30 for it) and if this "tip" system was inlcuded I could do that.
  19. Will there be any option to add new aircraft into the game later on? Or at lest mod more parts of the jets than just weapons. It'd be cool if we could research new engines and fuel types.
