  1. Just put in '79' into the custom soldier box at the bottom of the game options screen.
  2. When storming a landing ship, this version allows them to see the 'bridge' before they open the doors. The UFO is undamaged.
  3. I think I saw a bug report a couple of years ago on this issue, but I wasn't able to find it. Basically, the Foxtrot's 'disengage or crash due to low fuel' notice came up, I selected yes, and both the Foxtrot and the Landing Craft just kind of hung there for a few moments. They both eventually decided to start flying again, but not before I deselected and reselected the retreat button.

I've had the same issue from time to time, and I'm pretty sure it's because there's either a civilian or an alien (although I literally have never seen an alien inside the second floor of a Earth building) standing at the top that you can't see for some unknown reason. After I end my turn, there's movement in that space, and it's accessible the following. My issue would be why we can't see whatever it is when we are looking right up the staircase. I'm pretty sure I'm right about why it's happening, and it would be nice to at least be able to have a line of sight upwards.
  5. Might be worth changing the bit to 'advanced plasma technology' or something, instead.
  6. When given the option to study the Alien Reactor, it says that 'studying it may allow us to produce plasma weapons of our own'. I've had plasma weapons for at least a month.
  7. Every time I've started a ground assault with wounded Xenonauts, those wounded will have their health bars show up as two points over their current maximum. 59/57 Health, if that makes a little more sense. This seems to happen every time. Let me know if you want save files.
  8. I've had similar issues with switching weapons to medkits, grenades, etc, where the previously reserved TUs are 'locked up' until I switch back to the original weapon, and ending the turn doesn't resolve it.
  9. Since this sounds like it might be a technical issue (that doesn't bother me, but might be an issue for a new player), here are some my specs: I5-2300 2.8 8MB RAM Windows 7 x64 EVGA 760 SC ACX
  10. I purchased an additional Condor for my third base (which I saw was available for use) and then transferred another Condor to said base. The purchased Condor has vanished, and additional reloads have it still missing. I'm really low on funds right now and the additional expenditure couldn't come at a worse time.
  11. Or, I close until in gun range and they eventually roll from the cannon fire, then let loose all of my sidewinders once they do. It works every time.
  12. Just out of curiosity, why can't you just 'hire' someone in the United States?
  13. Terribly sorry to have missed replying. I completely spaced on this post and now it appears to have been fixed.
  14. I'm at the same point - I've researched everything that I can find -both plasma weapons, navigation, alloys, alenium. Wolf armor and laser weapons are nowhere to be found.
  15. Ok, now it's just every time I wait a few 'hours' after loading the save. The base-building was probably irrelevant. It was on June 21st, 1979.
  16. Game crashed three times after I build a second base. In case it's helpful, the second base was in North America, base number one is in Indochina, and I built two hangars and two radar arrays each time in the new location.
  17. Ok, it didn't happen my next research step was the plasma pistol, but it happened when I researched Alien Alloys - which has nothing for a project description (in case that's somehow relevant).
  18. I don't know if I'm just misreading this, but I've seen a number of UFOs at a grounded altitude while flying.
  19. I'm not quite sure how it happened in terms of everything else that would have been happening at the time, but I think I was either on the way to or flying back from a mission, and I had just finished completing the research on whatever the alien 'element' is. Alenium or something.
