I believe if Chris allowes the community to keep makeing new maps after the release it should be simple to add the maps into your game yourself. -
I'm not sure i quite understand. I think most of us think this design add more strategical depth then the old ocatagons of UFO:EU. could you elaborate on HOW it is worse, in terms of strategical depth, in those areas you mentioned? As I mentioned before it's not the only UFO in the game. (well it is atm but it wont be later on) A lot of us likes the UFO or atleast see no reason to change it. Do you think you could stand it if you consider that its one of many and there will be other shipdesingns?

i think hes annoyed hes not confused by its deceptive layout. I remeber back in X-com you could se part of a larger UFO and have no clue where the acctual entrance was because all parts of the UFO looked the same, or like 3-4 smaller UFOs glued together. He might be getting flashbacks to other X-com clones and getting annoyed because of that.

I read "please take all my monkeys.. 2 things popped into my mind. 1. why does he keep monkeys in his wallet? 2. what would chris do with walletsized monkeys? PS. 3. Does anyone have wallet sized typewriters? maybe they can punch out some codeing incase they have gotten tired of shakespear yet. DS. The competition as it looks now with 2 companies with similar release dates might compete to push out their game first on the market first. I'm afraid that could make the developers release it before its 100% ready. I'm confident Chris wont make that mistake but Firaxis haveing to subject to the will of higherups (investors publishers and CEOs) might release it too early before all the kinks are worked out or missing to impliment something that could have been great if the devs had taken their time.

EU = UFO: Enemy Unknown. TFTD = Terror From The Deep It's the first X-com game. although i belive that somewhere in some reagion it was renamed to UFO: Defense or something. you will ahve to wikipedia it. -
What would the UFO look like without the wings? I don't think i like the idea. Besides the wings adds a tactical aspect to your aproach. Plus there will be more UFOs then that one.

On this forum? really? I must have missed that. Most people have assumed that Firaxis will be true to the X-com feel and only considered what we can do on this end to help beat that.

I believe that the conviction that you have been abducted is lower outside the demographics "drunk rednecks" and "suffering from traumatic events" and spread around to such an extent that you cant lable them like you can with those 2. Edit: I have no numbers though so i cant really say I'm just pulling this out of thin air based on the impression ive gotten. But that could be because Americans are louder and therefor also their lunatics are louders. Ergo you acctually hear about people thinking they got abducted from America but not so much from those people in other countries.

Any chance of implementing camo armor in this game?

While its a nice idea its alot of work. As I understand it its thousands of sprites for each armor set (someone not officially on the project mentioned that he was recolouring the sleeves on the weapon models' sprites, it took him far to long to make a minor change and he figured it wasnt worth it long before he managed it for all the weapons. and he hadn't even started on the character sprites which are bigger and more numerous) I find it doubtful this will be done by Chris. Possibly some energic modder with lots and lots and lots of sparetime can make it after the realease. PS. I guess it would be easier for a modder doing that if Chris had a tag on each maptype that allowes for the hooks in a mod to react to the map and change to apropriet armor type. The ground work could be done by Chris (assuming its not too much of a hassle) but the additional sprites would have to be done by the community DS. -

Is there any chacne to be able to hand over items from one solder to another on an adjacent square without doing the detour of dropping it on the ground? -
Wouldnt ensureing stability before refining the feutures make the whole thing take longer time? Adding new futures might cause new instabilities or reopen old ones that was fixed earlier, right? Makeing the time invested in the Beta not acctually affect the completed game. I am worried such a beta would be slowing Chris down and have too little an impact to be worth it. Granted i dont know all that much about codeing or what Chris is proiritizing atm. Maybe he is already focusing on ensureing the stability of the game as a top priority. in that case disregard my post.

Someone did make arrows with gold arrowheads (some witch or something that traveled in time without a tardis, the golden arrows were her callsign and just a lucky fluke that she had them when the cybermen attacked). And there was this "planet of gold" that keept repelling the cybermen. i think they shot gold bulets or gold dust. -
oh dear. the mardigras equivilance will most likely scar people for life. Unless ofc the people doesnt realize they are beeing flashed for beads..

It has been reported before in 8.5 afaik. It could be usefull to also check the first or second page of the bug reports forum and not just the master bug list. (helps if all of the reports of a bug is in the same thread) (also please add in brackets if its geoscape or ground combat or base view or whatever )
