ninjaed13
Title explains it all really: 1) Can you use multiple dropships in one mission to double your crew size? 2) Are soldiers that "die" in combat necessarily dead? Sometimes on the end screen it doesn't label them KIA but there not in my soldier roster at my bases? That's all thanks.
dpelectric
AFAIK: 1. No 2. Your soldiers have a chance of surviving being knocked down to zero HP, with the chance of death increasing the further below zero they were injured.

dpelectric
Really? Lol I doubt the devs had that possibility in mind
Gauddlike
I just think of it as the trauma being too much for the young reaper organism while the human host can survive it, barely.
ninjaed13
Damn, it's a shame you can't do number 1, would be kinda op though.
Gauddlike
Incredibly difficult to balance as well I imagine.
Max_Caine
Apocalypse was the poster child for that. Got an alien problem? MOAR TROOPS. EDIT: The problem with games like these are they're skirmish-level games, and unlike RTS'sm, don't handle large numbers very gracefully. A turn=based platoon or company level game would be very different in troop handling (like Age of Wonders).
Troublechuter
Also all of the maps would need to be modified to handle up to three dropships.
