irongamer Posted February 10, 2012 Share Posted February 10, 2012 This is one of the items that confuses me about this ship on the ground. If the wings block vision why do they look flat? I can understand the shape of the ship but I have trouble processing the ship on the ground. Currently you need to be able to look over the wings (because they look flat) or there needs to be some shadowing or something else to indicate they have some height so you can't see over them. Line of fire and field of view are different things as far as i understand. You always got the penalty for shooting. The wings are at somewhat about a waist level and you should be able to see behind them. But if you say it's intentional and we shouldn't see past wing i could live with it. Not a big problem there. Just counterintuitive. First shows a Soldier looking at the ship, but he cant see it, next he has to walk right up to it to see the wall. and he can only see that one tile. Seemed fine in V8.9, but in V9.0 the wings (and just the front of the craft generally) seem to have some strange line of sight properties that make it hard (or at least harder than it was / should be) to get a proper view of certain tiles.
