So, a UFO is an Unidentified Flying Object. The first time you spot an alien craft, it is a UFO, but all subsequent times, it is identified, so it is an alien craft of a specified type. Keeping that in mind, it would be semantically more correct to replace the UFO indication to the type of the craft for known alien craft detections. EDIT: This might be the wrong forum for this thread. Maybe it would be better placed at the General Discussion. If a moderator would be so kind to move it there, please. It would be too much of a hassle to put the actual craft designation in the place of UFO, so I think it should be left alone, as it is. But the general public UFO has equated to Alien ship for so long that now regardless of whether we know what it is or not. If it is alien it is a ufo.
