kefeinzel
Despite the fact that fighters and heavy fighters are automatically destroyed after combat, it would be nice to recover a small amount of alloy + alenium from recovering the hull. I'm at a point in the game now where I need to construct thing and having 5 or so alloys from a fighter could make the difference between having that extra suit of wolf armor in the next mission or not. Just something for discussion and consideration. -K
StellarRat
I agree with this.
GizmoGomez
I also agree, it's a good idea that should be implemented.
smoitessier
What's the lore explanation for this? Local Forces sent out with metal detectors and sturdy dust pans? I think it's best to leave it as it is, there are too many materials as it is mid game and up, but that might change if you had the money to use it all, but still it forces the player to make a choice, the safety of grunts or the world
thothkins
I like to think that the locals pick them up and use them to manufacture the upgraded weapons they later appear with.
StellarRat
What's the lore explanation for this?Ah...the Xenonauts send a salvage team of technicians to pick the scraps. That seems completely logical to me.
GizmoGomez
Yeah. Why would you need a dustpan? How in the heck are we supposed to literally pulverize a UFO of any size to dust? As for having too many materials, isn't that what a "sell" button is for? Or you could just hoard them and not run out at inopportune moments. svidangel
Lets also make all those little UFOs that get shot down float so we get stuff for them when they are shot down over water. Wouldn't want to discriminate based on H2O content now.
GizmoGomez
That would depend entirely on the density of the UFO debris. I would think that alloys would be denser than water, however, so I wouldn't count on that being added. Oh, and you forgot to add the [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] tags. kefeinzel
yeah, that's what I was thinking of, lorewise having some sort of recovery team go out and salvage said fighter/heavy fighter if it was shot down over land
thothkins
On the end of mission screen you see just that recovery team.
