dambalon Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 More often than not I fail to secure a crashed UFO/terror site. I kill/capture all the aliens. I dont loose any troops. All locals are OK, but in the end I get ZERO point for securing the UFO i.e. failed to secure. Sometimes I do all things things mentioned above and get my 100 points. No difference in action, but two different results. And even if I reload the battle from scratch I dont get the score! Its like, the moment it loads the battle for the first time it is predetermined whether or not it will award me my points. I've been playing for quite some time now but I still cant understand the conditions that I must fulfill in order to secure a UFO/terror sire. Is this a bug? Or do I need to do something to secure a UFO? maybe taking a dump on a bridge will do the trick:p ps searched the forum but couldn't find similar inquiry, only ones with crazy huge +/- final score Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

GizmoGomez Posted February 16, 2013 Share Posted February 16, 2013 I'd report it, it doesn't seem like it should be inconsistent in it's point awarding system. Even if it's not a bug, they'll just say, "Not a bug." If it is, though, it'll be better if it's reported through the proper channel. Chris Posted February 17, 2013 Share Posted February 17, 2013 Taking and holding a UFO doesn't work at the moment, though it should. The only victory condition is killing the aliens. The roofs were really messed up (they wouldn't disappear), so I had no idea where the last alien was, so I simply sat in the UFO for several turns waiting for the mission to end. Finally he stumbled into the view of my snipers, who took him down with no small amount of prejudice; they were annoyed and impatient because of the heat. Also: Saving the current game just at the end of the ground combat, and reloading confirms: There is some status which causes the issue. (At least 3 tries out of 3 it happened...)
