Straker
What happened was I had all three intercepters chasing after a scout UFO. F-17 #1 reported it was low on fuel and I told it to return to base. While the combat was frozen, I tried to fire a Sidewinder it had ready and the game crashed to my desktop. I did not think I would be allowed to do this but I thought I would try (my fault). Logically, someone who was told to disengage should not be able to fire. Perhaps to prevent future crashes we could have the firing options disabled after an aircraft is told to disengage (or I can stop trying to fire parting shots ). Sathra
So it crashed when you told it to fire a missile without a target? (telling it to retreat should have had the F-17 un-target the UFO)
Straker
I suppose since the combat was paused when it disengaged and still paused when I fired caused it to crash. I didn't un-pause before firing so it must not have yet known there was no valid target.
Chris
I'll log this and give it a test tomorrow when I've got all my files set up. Thanks.
