imowf4ces Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 Hi all I'm new to the forums as well to xenonuats, I pre-ordered the game on thurs i played it for a while think i got to the 17. The next day i tried to play i got to combat did my turn. It crashed on hidden turn, you can hear the aliens move. So tried starting a new game, that didn't work as i soon got into my first combat same thing this time it either freezes or crashes. I posted in the bug thread said to verify files and i did, i even uninstalled got rid of all my saves and started over still no luck. I'm i doing something wrong. First up dude, this really belongs in the bug report forum. I know you want help, but the combined wisdom of all the bugs and problems is in the bug report forum. First of all, what does "got to the 17", mean? Secondly, which UFO (small, medium) map caused the crash? Thirdly, if I understand you, you start a new game, fresh, and the game crashes when you initated ground combat with the light scout, right? EDIT: There are two things you need to do in any case. 1) If you haven't already, update v15 to v15.1. This is how to do it if you don't want to re-download Xenonauts. 2) Download and apply Giovanni's hotfix which will stop the game crashing on farm maps. Max_Caine Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 No, Giovanni's farm hotfix is NOT in v15.1 - it was released after that. The hotfix fixes a problem with the farm maps, which might be one of the reasons it keeps crashing. Could you give the Giofix a try and see what happens? Also i think i found a clipping problem that i'll put in the bug section, I think cause it to crash. Thanks Max taking time to help me out.
