Mathalor
Could someone explain to me how to use suppression fire? All I see are buttons to just shoot the alien normally, but I've read a lot of posts on these forums referring to non lethal suppression. Buzzles
As it stands, you currently have the option of shooting at them, guns like the Machinegun from a decent distance can put aliens (and squadmates!) into suppression without killing them or chucking grenades. True non lethal suppression comes in the form of the flashbang grenades.
Mathalor
So, if I miss, they are suppressed?
GoodGuyEddy
So, if I miss, they are suppressed? Hit or miss. As long as bullets fly in their general direction.
Buzzles
If you really want to suppress someone, shoot at the tiles next to them.
Mathalor
How do I tell if they have been successfully suppressed or not? Maybe we could add a sound file that says, "Help, help! I'm being suppressed!" (Don't actually do this) Seriously, though. Is there a way to tell?
Khall
They crouch and a blue triangle with a "s" inside it appears above them Here's the mechanics of it (If it hasn't been changed since) Proposed-Suppression-Model Edited September 16, 2012 by Khall

StellarRat
Just so you know, suppression doesn't happen too often unless you use the M-60. That seems to suppress about 1/2 the time.
