[14.1 Air Combat] Air Combat starts paused but doesn't resume if i press space key

This has never happened to me before. If i press space on the paused combat, it doesn't resume. The game doesn't lock and i still hear the combat music and can click on things. I have to exit the game via ctrl + alt + del and start the game again to continue the campaign.

Just discovered that if i press the left or right arrow key (not the ones on the numeric keypad) the combat continues

I had this, if you to the controls settings for some reason all hotkeys have been removed, if you re-instate space as the pause/unpause button it works fine again

I'm not seeing a hotkey for pause/unpause, i do however see one for speed 1/2/3/4

How do I fire the weps myself in air combat?

Also, when i was in options, the hotkey for speed 1/2/3/4, i changed them all to "spacebar", upon pressing it, I was brought to the game over screen, and I did this from the main menu without starting or loading a game.
