Asierus? you are alive!!! You know that at X-Division, if there is something out there, it would be a requirement at least 5 researches!!! Really. 1) Is it possible to give a Vechicles the ability to run down (smash!) a pesky aliens and heavy tanks break through most obstacles? Will be funny and more realistic, i think. You know, like M577APC run. Breaktrough a farm house, or smash some lone tree. Or it is matter of balance and game design? 2)Why i can build from very beginnig a "light vechicle cannon" and a "vechicle cannon", but cannot attach it somewhere? Okay i think every second tank modder check it out first . 5. But how about some "mental bar" restoration? It is ever possible? Maybe special "Lucky Strike" medpack? thx, man! I simply edited my weapons gc to make them throw them only half the range and make less damage. Also the xenonauts´ reflexes are low. And yeah, grenades should do instant damage. The rest... well... And the further along the game, the more game crashes at "Alien Turn Screen". That's what causes serious damage to your patience. I think it is because of the advanced AI scripts. Should you reload, make other moves, and all ok.. until next crash Remember, in XNT were same problems, but far less. drages, what do you think about this? Maybe i do something wrong? X-DIV v0.98+ X-CE-33-HF1 and maps (Skitso's Map Pack), recommended priority, normal difficulty (yeah, i know, i know, but i dont have much time for a veteran) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
odizzido Posted August 14, 2015 Share Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) I read that you're not happy with how things are with weapon balance.....which is good because I use nothing but sniper rifles and shields/batons:P I have some experience with balancing weapons and I have some ideas about what I would do to make the other weapons useful. I have a quick question though so I don't spend a ton of time looking around, what files are used for weapon stats? I know about weapons.xml but that doesn't seem to have the mitigation stat unless I am blind? edit--------- n/m found it in weapons_gc.xml edit2------ These files don't make sense to me....in weapons_gc.xml weapon.pistol has 30 damage but in weapons.xml is has 20.... I always said, X-Division 0.99 will be a huge mod, which makes 0.98 a little one. I think i made is far then i can finish maybe but i dont want to give up.. I pushed a bit myself and handled new weapon and armour coding nearly %90.. and there were so many weapons with their versions.. As armour we got now tier-3 armours.. All armour and weapon arts nearly remade and recoded.. Sorry odiz I didn't see earlier posts. Weapons.xml is only for weapon size and weight mostly. This file is about equipment screen. The stats comes from weaponsgc file. drages Posted September 1, 2015 Author Share Posted September 1, 2015 0.99 goes at full speed. As a new feature, 0.99 will have their own ufo versions per game phase. Mod will have 4 phases. At every phase including the 1. one you will have: - Totally new aliens with totally new weapons and explosives. - New specialists to get new researches. - New ufo versions like "Armored Scout", "Missile Corvette" or "Battlecruiser" including "Dreadnought" and Battlecarrier" with the aliens of that phase with ground combat. So you will have every kind of ufos at every phase just much more powerful.. Every ufo dissassemble projects will give you different things to use or research. - Unique ufos with special aliens, weapons or materials for researches and updates. - Experimental research system. Did you find an alien weapon? You will get an experimental research and this research will give you something random. Then you will need to get some items more and be ready for next experiment to get new weapons or updates. - Special terror units will have armour ignore and chemical weapons.
