  1. Just a quick note to let everyone know we're aware of the periodic forum issues / database problems and we are working on getting them resolved. Please bear with us!
  2. how do you put options for a poll on the forums?

    Ummm...

Did anybody else see that this site got hacked last night or was that just me getting morracean rock music? Just curious.
  4. Trying to go to the main forum site (ie. the white button up above) gets me redirected to a hacker splash. Team R00t apparently, with sadly unimaginative politics. Don't know if there are any other effects, and the rest of the forums are accessible through different avenues of approach, thus how I'm posting this. Amateurs are depressing. If no-one else if affected then I'll have more to look into personally, heh. Edit: Yeah, seems to be tied to the top page of the forum itself. Any further down the tree seems unaffected.
  5. Get this error after logging in - any fixes? Obviously I can log in but have to open another window after to get privileges. 6. After our ongoing troubles with the forum over the past few days, we've decided to bin Dreamhost and move to a new server. As such, the forums will be inaccessible for some people over the next 24 hours as the DNS propagates and also we've rolled back the forums to where they were about 24 hours ago. Sorry if you've lost data, but this needed to be done as we can't risk having instability when we launch on Steam. Hopefully we won't need to do any more of it. Thanks to Solver, who helped with the migration and is currently providing our webhosting! We have more control over things that we did with Dreamhost, so that can only be a good thing.
  7. The forums have been rather slow for the last couple of days, as many of the regulars will have noticed. We've upgraded our hosting package now to have much more RAM, hopefully this will speed things up significantly and also stop our site collapsing immediately after a major site links to us.
  8. Chris - The last month or two I've had a lot of problems with time outs trying to access the website. It appears to be intermittent, but regular. I'm pretty sure it is something in the Goldhawk or Goldhawk ISP side as the problem has occurred on multiple computers and multiple ISP's on my end. I just thought I'd make you aware. I don't know your infrastructure, but one place to consider is heavy remote access to the server that does your website during work hours. The problem seems to be the worst in the morning here in the Pacific time zone. That's about seven or eight hours behind you guys in England.

    Green name?

Just watched down among the online users and noticed that me along with a few others had green names... why? I really have no idea why I have this glorious green name, but hey, I like it
  10. When reading through the forum, I noticed quite a bit of Thread Necromancy that's been appearing recently. Tbh, it's always a bit jarring for me to have a thread that was 4 months dead suddenly burst into life again, especially if the subject discussed is as dead as the thread itself. I could only really see threads re-risen in the Bug Forum, when people are still having the same bugs several versions down the line. I think people should quit raising threads from the dead, and if they wanna talk about the same topic, start a new one, with a fresh perspective, personally.
