1. Can you at least make a patch to disable the letterboxing. I can't play the game since the V21 Experimental 3 update. Everything is too small. 17'' monitor at 1024x768.
 2. Explosive Enemy - Nh` Minol The Nh`Minol is very similar to the Nh`Theol in its appearance as well as it`s vulnerabilities, however it is far more agile and appears to possess an abnormally high degree of visual acuity making it a formidable opponent. The most dangerous aspect of this specimen is that upon it`s death the Nh`Minol explodes. While no cybernetic enhancements have been detected it is assumed that some type of bio chemical explosive has been surgically implanted. Further analysis has been difficult due to a lack of substantial Nh`Minol body parts post detonation.

 4. I think this tutorial may help you: http://swordandarrow.ucoz.com/index/adding_a_new_unit_to_the_game/0-31
 5. The Map Editor is already included with the GrayFiend's Mod but is disabled by default. From the author's website (http://ufogr.com/en/install/): "...But editor doesn't install by itself, so if you desire to have it, run this one file: GAME_FOLDER/data/xtensions/mapeditor/scripts/install.bat This package might be installed both in a full version (all 18 map types – it will have need of 5.5 Gb on HDD to unpack sources) and in demo version (the maps "CAF base" and "Desert" only – it will need of 0.7 Gb of HDD space). Also you can to learn user's manual (893 kb). Currently supported languages are: Russian, English and German."

 7. Ok, I understand. But I think their range of detection is OP. And to avoid this loop situation why not disable the evade option when intercepted by these UFOs?
 8. Do you see UFO-14 from the picture above? He tries to hunt me doesn't matter the direction I take (N,S,W,E). When he intercepts me, we enter directly into air combat. If I choose to intercept him from the start the same happens - auto engage. During the air combat mode, if I choose to evade, the game will loop until I run out of fuel and the aircraft is destroyed - this happens almost all the time. If I engage another UFO, doesn't matter if I win or evade, UFO-14 will be waiting for me and the situation mentioned before will happen again. 9. New screenshot - Research & Interrogation UFO2ET stage Bruised and broken, with purplish ichor running down its mottled face, the alien commander confesses, "Not all of our ships were detected by your facilities. Some of our ships managed to land and carry out their infiltration missions. We always knew the quickest way to conquer your world was to take control of your world governments. But we could never get close enough to your leaders. Your CAF forces were too vigilant." The alien pauses to cough up a globule of ichor, which runs down its chin. "The solution turned out to be so simple. You know of our raids on hospitals, police stations, farms, and other locations. You know that at hospitals it was always the same - we killed all the patients and personnel except for some of the surgeons. The surgeons were usually unconscious when you found them. You never knew why." - from http://www.ufo2extraterrestrials.com/screenshot/ This looks interesting and at least they are giving the public some information or some indication of progress. I don't understand why they keep this project so closed to the public. It seems - by the look of the development progress - they are a small team with low resources. Why don't they kickstart the project?
 10. I ask this because they look kinda stupid when choosing the right target. Yesterday I was facing a Caesan with two Xenonauts. One of my soldiers was very close to him, in open field (clear shoot to the alien) and the other was farther away and behind cover. Guess what was the alien target when I was already counting a certain death?

 12. Xenonaut walks through wall like a ghost: Link to save file: http://temp-share.com/show/dPfsYg4OW =>Fighter interception: enters directly in combat mode with no popup for decisions (engage/tail/etc). =>Enemy inside UFO shoots Xenonaut through wall (light scout). Observations: -> Can't edit base names -> Can't edit role profiles -> "Change Default Loadout" needs confirmation popup to avoid mistakes -> Enemies inside vessels never come out - no surprise effect when approaching ufo for assault. -> Enemies relative position doesn't vary too much for the same map - when I play a repeated map I can predict, more or less, the enemies positions -> Aircraft interception can't be done in sequence. If I want to intercept an UFO with two fighters I have to send both right at the start. Doesn't matter if I command the first aircraft to tail the target until the second arrives. This game mechanic messed up a mistake I did, sending a single Condor to intercept an UFO. When the air combat screen opened I realized the mistake and evaded. Commanded it to tail the target and ordered a second Condor to intercept. I engaged the interception with the two airplanes tailing/intercepting the UFO but only the intercepting Condor could engage into battle. -> Performance issues at the end of ground combat mission - I have to wait almost 2 minutes to see the score screen after finishing a ground combat mission (maybe it's my computer but I only have this performance brake in this transition)
 13. Bases and role profiles can't be renamed. I don't know if this will be added in the the future but it should be. And make a confirmation popup appear when we press the "Change Default Loadout".
 14. Just delete the original file or rename it to something, other than hiddenmovement_small.png
 15. The problem here is about doing it later, after you have given a name to your base. It seems there's no rename option.
 16. 1. Go to ".\Steam\steamapps\common\Xenonauts\assets\gui\GroundCombat\hiddenmovement" 2. Rename the file "hiddenmovement_small.png" to "hiddenmovement_small.png_bkp" 3. Replace the original file with this one: http://i39.tinypic.com/fmml91.png (transparent image) Rename it to "hiddenmovement_small.png"
 17. They pay a percentage of the total expenses you had (including materials and workshop cost) for the production of the airplanes lost protecting their territory. How can the regions supply materials? - they have been gathering them since the beginning of the invasion from abandoned UFO's that they are able to shoot down and from the Xenonauts airplanes crash sites. http://www.goldhawkinteractive.com/forums/showthread.php/5193-Indestructible-interceptors?p=76289&viewfull=1#post76289
 18. I like it. It has a darker feeling than the previous version. What's so bad with the GUI?
 19. I never had to do it before and I never noticed if it was possible or not, but today I misspelled a name to my base and couldn't find an option to change it.
 20. This is my proposal - create a funding bonus for aircaft loss coverage:

Relation Points 0-20 21-40 41-60 61-80 81-100

Relation Status bad poor average good excellent

Airplane Loss Coverage (%) 10 25 50 75 90

-------------------------------->

Game Difficulty

Relation points value (example): - mission success = 5 points - mission failure = -7 points - interception success = 2 points - interception failure (retreat) = -3 points - airplane losse = -1 points (they can help you with the airplanes loss but do not abuse) Now lets suppose that in the first month of the Xenonauts activity they get the following results for Africa: - previous relation status: bad (20) - successfull missions = 2 - failed missions = 1 - successful interceptions = 3 - failed interceptions = 0 - airplanes lost = 1 Calculation: Africa relation points = 20 + [2 * 5 + 1 * (-7) + 3 * 2 + 0 * (-3) + 1 * (-1)] = 20 + 8 => Poor (new relation status) Africa airplane coverage funding = nº of airplanes lost over territory * airplane cost * coverage percentage = 1 * airplane cost * 0.25 ---- TLDR: Regions will cover a percentage of the Xenonauts resources lost (money and materials) in the production of the airplanes shoot down over their territory by the alien forces. The percentage of coverage is proportional to the relation status they have. The percentage of coverage can be modified for a specific game difficulty. Easy - more coverage; Insane - less coverage. How can the regions supply materials? - they have been gathering them since the beginning of the invasion from abandoned UFO's that they are able to shoot down and from the Xenonauts airplanes crash sites.
